I just got Monetized on the 6th November for the very 1st time after being on RUclips since 2006, then yesterday 8th of november, I got demonetized and youtube excuse was I used reused content, I used Friends videos, I edited so much, added extras, did cut the length of videos of over 1 hour to 5 minutes, 25 minutes etc. I spend years working so hard for nothing

Same problem here. I did an appeal video. I even showed them myself filming, myself editing, screen shots of my work, all of it. I also was very careful to either remove, or make sure any copyrighted flagged material was removed from my channel. I'm also a professional video producer, and my channel isn't filled with junk. I was still rejected. I don't believe an actual human watches your appeal. Only bots and AI. I've concluded that the only way is you have to remove almost every last video that isn't yours in any and every way. All compilations. All video done by someone else, even free-license, copyright free, etc. should probably be removed. Sound crazy? It seems the only way. If someone else has another suggestion, I'd like to know. RUclips moderators, chat, email and such will do nothing to help. They are ordered to not tell you anything more than sending you the same links you can easily find on your own.
nah, even deleting everything that isn't yours in any way wouldn't work; i've done research into other creators who've gotten demonetized for "reused content" who have uploaded wholely original content, but still got demonetized for reusing what is literally original content. the closest violation most of the others have is "creating content others have already," because making music or telling stories isn't original because mozart and shakespeare did it before you did.
The real reason is because too many people are exposing mainstream media lies with their small channel content. RUclips doesn't like creators who will show their audience the truth about things and expose the lies. By rolling back the tape so to speak. If you show how the mainstream narrative is wrong (using mainstream video clips etc during your videos in order to support your talking points). RUclips will demonetize you. Google/YT are not your friend and are anti freedom. Google and YT act like publishers but are exempt from prosecution concerning their ability to censor people's content.
In my channel 100% is original with no stock videos or clips from third parties, everything is created by me and music is from the youtube library or licensed, despite that RUclips claims I "reused content".

Look at some previous replies. The best thing to do is appeal the decision by contacting RUclips via Twitter/X. Also, you may have to delete some content as painful as it may be and repost it. I figured out my “problem” was that I had used a “collection” of songs in my video that triggered this bs. What I do now is just use a royalty free song at a low volume in my videos and then just repeat it throughout the video so it doesn’t break their stupid rule of “collection of songs” despite the fact they were all royalty free. RUclips hates small creators these days, I'm thinking being montizied on YT just isn't worth it anymore unless you have really really great content, and even then.. they just keep finding ways to not pay us
You just needed screen shots of your programs you use to edit, your voice over and editing process frame by frame on your computer etc. And show your scripts etc. I did a video to appeal and it got accepted in 24 hours. Did you follow the format and mentioned your channel url in the first 30 secs. Maybe you didnt follow the format

Just woke up today Monday morning August 7th 2023, and checking my studio app, I can't find the monetization section. I can't see earnings. I refreshed the app and checked but nothing. Then something ringed on my mind to quickly check my email and behold, on checking, the email says I have been demonized. I launched studio to check why and it says reused content. That's on my other channel. Not this. I suspect it relates to some of my videos appearing on the two channels. And yes, my main channel began having a spike in the last few weeks, more views, more revenue. Just when I am having a spike in views, growth and revenue, they demonized me 🤦♂️🤦♂️. But the channel I have which is normal, not too much of a spike but monetized, they didn't bother about that. They will monitor you when you start getting too much growth.
I feel your pain! Although I'm a brand new channel, not yet monetized, I am feeling sooooo scared now! What if I work hard and get monetized then suddenly get demonetized through no fault of my own? The appeal process is wild. They want you to make a video showing how you make videos, and talk to them about why you think you deserve another shot all in four minutes and 30 seconds.

The whole thing is a joke and a money making scheme. You only get 5 mins for the appeal video, do they realise how long it takes to create content? They rejected me and I appealed and got the same messages you did. I'm also using envato and uploaded all the licenses as required. My niche is meditation and relaxation. They can 'look at the backside of me' too (love that). I'm deleting all my videos now and will upload them with a commentary box of me talking for the first part in attempt to validate the 'creative process' for content creation. How do channels like Fail Army get past this with ONLY reused content of stupid people doing stupid things..?

Just happened to me a few hours ago! I've made the video and appealed, but have to wait up to 14 days. Really frustrating. None of my content is reused, it's all recorded, edited and uploaded by me. Each video is unique in it's own way, no two are the same. I've also never used other creators content in my videos either, with the exception of a few AUDIO clips in ONE of my videos. Other than that, none of my 2500+ videos contain ANY reused content.
@@SCP-BACKUP It was denied within a few hours. Apparently, my old non-commentary gaming videos are considered "reused content" so I had to delete them all, 600+ videos in total. Can't reapply until 28th June. But now struggling to reach the 4000 watch hours in the last 365 days requirement.

It happen to me aswell😂 3 times they are saying reused content…All content is mine i only had once songs from a payed website(music for creators).Apart that all content 100% created by me.I end up deleting 90% of my videos because i got mad and now need to start all over with the hours only got left 270h from 8k😂.So is not a easy journey because lack of comunication from RUclips end.

My case is much sketchier than others, but I don't think they realize, it is work, there is 5-10 hours PER DAY. Don't underplay making intros and thumbnails either. Those take work too. It's only the person who has never edited content that will claim that no work was done. I'm fine with content ID claiming my videos. Great...but if you cut me out of the monetization process, I'm not uploading content for you to profit from while I only ever incur debt. How did you resolve your issue? It would seem to me that yours was a genuine mistake, whereas mine can be up for debate. From my POV, if you aren't willing to pay me 1 to 5 hours of monetization before the content ID hits, you have no business allowing the content to stay up, and it should be a strike. As it is, the copyright holder actually allows content to be used on YT. So...IDK.

It's really confusing 😕 When i used another channel content with 100% edit they accepted it But I deleted everything cz the content creator asked me to delete it even i worked hard for it cz they didn't edited it So I made my own content with better editing and better in everything But they said reused content i really don't know what's the problem...i don't have copyright claim or any content used from another channel or another app! Maybe bcz i post it in another channel to check if it's copyrighted?(cz something i add some music to it but 2%)
I added the link, sorry I didn't before. I sort of borrowed some of his concepts, but applied them more to my situation. Check out the video and hopefully his coupled with mine will help you. It seems like RUclips is "slimming down" those that it monetizes in order to make its content more like a streaming service, but I don't have any evidence of that. What is clear, is that RUclips is demonetizing people then significantly upping the standards by which they can reapply.

I was demonetized on one channel and did a simple video appeal and got my monetization back within days. I got demonetized this channel and did the same type of appeal video and got rejected because they said I only described a small portjon of my videos and they werent representative of my entire channel. I feel they didnt look at my channel. 95% of my channel is my and friends giving opinions of the New York Knicks. The videos are really high quality and we give commentary to any highlights. Its really frustrating.
You don't get reused content just for reusing clips. Looking at your channel, there is no theme in it, its a bunch of videos about everything and your thumbnails aren't any different from eachother for a user do tell what the difference between the videos. These are some of the things why RUclips may have hit you with Reused content. It's not just about reusing clips, I know it may sound wierd but that how RUclips works, and those video appeals never work. Make these few changes specially to yor thumbnails, then reapply. This means that content creators must add their own original commentary, editing, or other creative input to videos or images that they use from other sources.
Reused content is content that you buy on stock cites like adobe stock, shutterstock...etc. That is exactly what you are doing. I don't get your explanations. You are describing what not to do. Create your own content and that's it. Buying videos is not the way

I am going through this right now. It is so frustrating, just when I thought I was going to get my first payment they demonitized me.

And yes, my main channel began having a spike in the last few weeks, more views, more revenue. Just when I am having a spike in views, growth and revenue, they demonized me 🤦♂️🤦♂️. But the channel I have which is normal, not too much of a spike but monetized, they didn't bother about that. They will monitor you when you start getting too much growth.

I feel your pain! Although I'm a brand new channel, not yet monetized, I am feeling sooooo scared now! What if I work hard and get monetized then suddenly get demonetized through no fault of my own? The appeal process is wild. They want you to make a video showing how you make videos, and talk to them about why you think you deserve another shot all in four minutes and 30 seconds.

They rejected me and I appealed and got the same messages you did. I'm also using envato and uploaded all the licenses as required. My niche is meditation and relaxation. They can 'look at the backside of me' too (love that). I'm deleting all my videos now and will upload them with a commentary box of me talking for the first part in attempt to validate the 'creative process' for content creation. How do channels like Fail Army get past this with ONLY reused content of stupid people doing stupid things..?
I don't think Fail Army is monetized. They make their money other ways.

Just happened to me a few hours ago! I've made the video and appealed, but have to wait up to 14 days. Really frustrating. None of my content is reused, it's all recorded, edited and uploaded by me. Each video is unique in it's own way, no two are the same. I've also never used other creators content in my videos either, with the exception of a few AUDIO clips in ONE of my videos. Other than that, none of my 2500+ videos contain ANY reused content.

@@SCP-BACKUP It was denied within a few hours. Apparently, my old non-commentary gaming videos are considered "reused content" so I had to delete them all, 600+ videos in total. Can't reapply until 28th June. But now struggling to reach the 4000 watch hours in the last 365 days requirement.

I do not have other creators content on my channel that could be considered "reused content" and my channel consists pretty much of gaming videos. So my non-commentary gaming videos are all I can think of that caused the demonetization. And I think you mean ANOTHER huge L from RUclips.
Use the second option. Delete those videos you didn’t create or those with copywriter, wait for the date to reapply
It was take how many days because my channel they say it take 90 days.!! But many creators told me that it take 30 days to reapply if options 2 all instruction is better or okey

Is there a RULE for what’s considered “lazy”? Are there stipulations for how hard you must work? It’s odd how they’re demonetizing people when their #s spike! Just in time for them to swoop in and get the $!

It happen to me aswell😂 3 times they are saying reused content…All content is mine i only had once songs from a payed website(music for creators).Apart that all content 100% created by me.I end up deleting 90% of my videos because i got mad and now need to start all over with the hours only got left 270h from 8k😂.So is not a easy journey because lack of comunication from RUclips end.
"Your stuff isn't good enough to be on our platform, we realize we content ID all your videos, so you make pennies on the dollar, and now we're making sure you make zero dollars, but what we're going to do, is keep your content on our platform, your edits, we're going to monetize them and cease payment of the pitiful amount we were providing for the edit.

My case is much sketchier than others, but I don't think they realize, it is work, there is 5-10 hours PER DAY. Don't underplay making intros and thumbnails either. Those take work too.
It's only the person who has never edited content that will claim that no work was done.
I'm fine with content ID claiming my videos. Great...but if you cut me out of the monetization process, I'm not uploading content for you to profit from while I only ever incur debt.
How did you resolve your issue? It would seem to me that yours was a genuine mistake, whereas mine can be up for debate.
From my POV, if you aren't willing to pay me 1 to 5 hours of monetization before the content ID hits, you have no business allowing the content to stay up, and it should be a strike. As it is, the copyright holder actually allows content to be used on YT. So...IDK.

But I deleted everything cz the content creator asked me to delete it even i worked hard for it cz they didn't edited it
So I made my own content with better editing and better in everything

I added the link, sorry I didn't before. I sort of borrowed some of his concepts, but applied them more to my situation. Check out the video and hopefully his coupled with mine will help you. It seems like RUclips is "slimming down" those that it monetizes in order to make its content more like a streaming service, but I don't have any evidence of that. What is clear, is that RUclips is demonetizing people then significantly upping the standards by which they can reapply.

I was demonetized on one channel and did a simple video appeal and got my monetization back within days. I got demonetized this channel and did the same type of appeal video and got rejected because they said I only described a small portjon of my videos and they werent representative of my entire channel.
I feel they didnt look at my channel. 95% of my channel is my and friends giving opinions of the New York Knicks. The videos are really high quality and we give commentary to any highlights. Its really frustrating.
You don't get reused content just for reusing clips. Looking at your channel, there is no theme in it, its a bunch of videos about everything and your thumbnails aren't any different from eachother for a user do tell what the difference between the videos. These are some of the things why RUclips may have hit you with Reused content. It's not just about reusing clips, I know it may sound wierd but that how RUclips works, and those video appeals never work. Make these few changes specially to yor thumbnails, then reapply. I hope this helps

Thats not true because people buy sounds and images to create MEDITATION videos or HEALING/ASMR videos and it can be up to hours long.
