In an interview two or three years ago the first question they were asked "How are you feeling right now?" Moa's reply "Hungry, I need to eat fried chickens".🍗🍗🍗 They talked about 'BxMxC' in another interview. SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget! MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall? SU-METAL: Uh…what was it… KOBAMETAL (their producer): Flow? SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind. BABYMETAL live is always a step up from their studio recordings. A lot of fans didn't like this at all when they first heard it - "too many effects and autotune on Su's vocals" and they thought they could and would not play it live. Happily they were proved very wrong and Su kills it without the effects and autotune - and yes you need to do another reaction to that.🤘 It was not on the international release, it was a Japan exclusive ... but they had it on the set list every night for the UK and Europe tour in 2020 and they took the roof off every venue with it.

Happy you chose the mv first. It doesn't have audience participation and only some choreo, and is the shortest version. But the sound is punchier here. Now since you liked it, you can check a cool live version, if you want to. I don't understand why some fans sometimes act like you're committing a crime when listening to the studio version first. And it wasn't only me, some fans even thought they would never perform it live (too many voice effects, you know...). BUT we all were proven wrong. They performed it live for the first time in January 2020 (at Legend Metal Galaxy show, which I recommend). They totally killed it and I had to change my mind. Now, I expect they perform it when I see them live in a few months. Until next time! 🤘🦊

Also Know As the Bring Moa Chicken song. BMC. Most likely its Babymetal metal cypher. Cypher is like a rap battle. Hear it's more of a metal battle. Su wins easy. Moa cheats by not singing and just blast her "the Enemy" by multiplying herself. Who could beat all those dimples and kawaii? Then they fight the boss together. He had NO CHANCE. It was done all green screen. Not sure if any of them were there at the same time. That's one way to keep separated. Mostly this song is a rap dis track. Calling metalhead gate keepers rusty chains. The old way is worn out. Babymetal never sought to ruin metal. they wanted to be the way to get into metal. Something they never forgot. Like this song heavily influenced by rap. Many Japanese fans have pointed out that stylistically Su is using a traditional rap type style. She is delivering it in an American rap attitude style. Then add in those heavy bass and guitar parts and wooh. You have a major way into either rap or metal. Door swings both ways sometimes. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

As good as this recording and video is, and it is very good, the live performance at Budokan 2021 is out of this world great. It is worth a separate reaction, the swagger is off the charts, a killer song performed perfectly.

But the hip hop and rap elements are more clear on songs like "Iine!" or "Onedari Daisakusen" way before this BxMxC song. This song was the last one added to Metal Galaxy 3rd album and is an exclusive track (along with ↑↓←→BBAB ) is clear that they took a challenge on this in such short time, and no wonder why they push this song during live shows outside of Japan. The MV and album track got an auto-tune effect for artistic reasons but just like always live is when SuMetal voice really shine without those effects and the girls with the badass dancing. Live at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 is a nice option to watch.
