    Hey y’all wanna do a video series on making some short 18th century cloaks and sell some wool? Just saying I’m interested 😂

    LoL! Love you folks... (Christina, did you match your hair to Angela's ribbon on purpose?)
    Also, best resources for styling hair with these caps? I'm guessing the American Duchess book, and... has LBCC done any videos?

      We will be doing a hair hack for you. Also AD is a good source

      I did not match intentionally, but it did work out nicely 😂

    Such a joy to see your work! (Note that one ought not to engage in wrestling with Christina. Especially if she is carrying silk ribbon.)

    Christine your hair matches Angela’s ribbon from my view on the screen. Thank you for the videos! Keep them coming. If I want to put double ruffles on my cap does one need to be a bit wider than the other?

      Candy Minton Depends on how you put them on. The one in the video is extra wide and gathered down the center. Then folded along that line and stitched to the band. Maybe this needs its own hack

    What should I do to keep the cut ends of my silk ribbon from fraying?

    • @BurnleyandTrowbridge
      @BurnleyandTrowbridge  2 года назад +2

      You can use fray check (they used gum Arabic in the 18thc) or you can turn the edge and hem.

    Hi there, do you know if this style of cap would be suitable to the 1812 era of north america? I love it but I'm still new to the historical side of things :)

      @BurnleyandTrowbridge  Год назад +1

      They do change a bit. The round earred would be the best choice

    did they ever embroider caps?

    • @BurnleyandTrowbridge

      Yes, usually white on white. I actually own a tambour worked cap in my collection
