I would so love it if that happened. I can't imagine students who are looking into going to A&M for a journalism degree - they are changing their minds I'm sure.
I LOVE WHAT this guy said about how A&M reveres the black athletes and loves the football players who get them wins on the football field, so they celebrate black folks on Saturday afternoons, but when it comes to welcoming the black community in the newsroom they change their tune.

The president of texas a&m has resigned as a result of the negative publicity. Keep the pressure on them Roland. Hopefully black recruits won’t go there and the black athletes there will transfer.

You’ve got it wrong! The university President and Chancellor supported the hiring of the black journalism professor. The board of regents changed the terms of her contract. The original contract was changed to non tenured fire at will. The university president has quit now over this botched hiring!

Why do you cover race so much, you are such a talented reporter and all you choose to do is talk about race. The more we talk about race and the more we look for racism the more we will find and the more issues and division we will create. Let's focus on building infrastructure and getting rid of our bad habits instead of trying to make other people treat us equally.
You are propagandanized. Race has to be talked about. Certain of those people don't like you and never will. You must be a Bot. Roland know what he is doing and what is needed. All blacks do. Some is just slick; they want the benefits and not the job to help get the benefits. Selfish people.
