I like to think of this song as a sort of "Memories of Mother" song for Futaba. As in, after the events of Persona 5, when Futaba is just in her room doing whatever like usual, and her mind wanders to memories of everything that's happened, which gradually transitions into memories of her mother. And she doesn't let it distract her from her activities, but she's still remembering her, thinking back on all those precious times she didn't realize she should have cherished, and embracing the feeling.
This is part of my lofi P5 playlist, which I use when I go to bed and stuff. It kicks ass. The original is probably my favorite palace theme from the original game.
