Hey Gail. How long did it take for you to receive welcome letter from NVC once your case was submitted from USCIS?
I hope you will get a chance to read this. It appears you were petitioned by an entity for an immigrant petition (I-140, right?) The petition was approved which is why you were scheduled for an IV interview. You are the beneficiary of an approved petition where your husband and kids are your derivatives (s) A copy of the petition was forwarded to the petition and during the consul interview, the consul is just counter-checking what is in the petition. FYI you have an approved petition which is why you are not subject to sec 214 and appears 212 does not apply to you- that is eligibility vs admissibility, Better not to talk about 221g at this time. Of course, totally understood if you are nervous during the interview when the consul asked you WHY in not being sarcastic. REMEMBER: You are not a tourist applying for a tourist visa but a beneficiary of a petition already APPROVED by USCIS. You have passed the medical and have biometrics taken. I hope you are in the US and you and your husband can be US citizens in 5 years. BTW I'm a retired USCIS Immigration Service Officer.
Hello sir I just want to ask if this will be the same with H1B visa? The petition was already approved by the uscis and I'm just waiting for my interview date. Is there a chance that I will be denied even though I have all the required papers including the medical, etc.

I'd like to add that I am a digital marketer and one of my clients wants to sponsor me through EB-3 visa. I'm from Pakistan and I have no travel history so far. Could you please let me know if that matters? Although my client has hired an attorney for filing a petition. But I'd like to know from a veteran like you if travel history holds any importance.

You're right. So fast because the right and complete docs have stood for oneself. How one carried oneself during the interview cinched the approval. Buti when you said "Nervous" didn't affect but noticed how he got curious. Sabi ng ex-Consuls sa YT channels, just be calm and composed. Congratulations to you too.

Hi Ms. Gail, congratulations!! Nakakaiyak panuorin. I'm applying for EB2 visa - so many years in the making. I'm so nervous too!! Anyway, I just want to ask if you were interviewed together with your hubby? May specific questions ba for him? I'm asking because I am the principal applicant and he is my derivative. My employer isn't giving me any tips for him and as an anxious person, I want to know what to expect so we can prepare. Hope you read this!

Ms. Gail, after ng interview yung status namin is “Administrative processing”. Sinabihan kami ng consul na mag antay ng visa namin 1-2 weeks. Wait nlng ba namin or mag ask kami bakit nak “administrative processing”. Sa inyo po after ng interview nyo ano po yung status sa ceac?

Congratulations Nurse Gail! Thankful for your informative videos as always! Sobrang timing po ng video mo na to kasi I'm also a direct hire. I don't have an agency, but I'm talking to a recruitment agency of the hospital itself. Thankful also that you said that what company is your facility under kasi I also have questions about that na what if baka itanong ganon so yun pala yung question na yun hahaha. I will be having my interview this October. If I may ask, did the consul asked you how did you know the hospital/facility? What was your answer for that if ever. Thank you again and God bless!

I thought all the while that the pass letter and candidate report was the same, how was the pass letter requested?
It's different po but usually sabay na kasi dapat sinesend. In my case, candidate report lang. so i asked help from ipass for my pass letter. 😊

Hi, congrats on getting approved. My wife is in this process and we are awaiting our interview here in our country and I tried to listen to your videos (I only speak English, so it was difficult at times to understand..but) I wanted to clarify something, did you say that they allowed you to edit the DS-260 for a fee at the embassy before the interview? I didn't include something there and I don't want it to hurt my wife's case (btw, she's a nurse as well). Also, they didn't ask your husband what type of job he'll do once in the states? 😅 so, if you can detail for me the questions he got asked, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance and congrats again 🥳
Yes they allow to edit the DS-260. It would depend on the prescreener... otherwise, they would instruct you to go out of the embassy and find a computer shop where you can do the editing yourself. This is only in Manila, though. I am not sure how it is in other countries. No, they didn't ask what my husband would do once he's in the US. 😊 so sorry, I only meant for Filipino nurses to watch this that's why I speak in the vernacular most of the time. 🤭
They only asked his name and birthday, if he ever served in the military and if he had any problems with the police. 😊
I guess you see now you have worldwide followers lol. Some words are close to Spanish, you'd be surprised lol. Nonetheless, I'm the one doing the research so my wife can focus on work 😅 Hopefully my embassy allows us to edit there.
I guess his line of questioning wasn't that difficult, but of course each consular officer is different 🤞🏾

May problem din ako sa Job Offer ko. The original is still in transit through FedEx and what I only have is a scanned copy sent to me via email and my iD will be this coming August 15. Aside from that, my case manager instructed me to ask the consul to open my DS260 to indicate the address and name of the person to receive my green card.

Hi po! Wala naman sis, bale pinaverify nya lang sakin ano yung naging correction. Dapat kasi letter "e" eh pero letter "i" yung asa middle name ng mom ko. Corrected naman na sa PSA kaya may annotation na. :)
