@@jeffrandolf5673 I'm not a big fan of pontoons either but but because I live in Delaware I see a lot of em crabbing with the family and I must say they have a nice party on deck a lot.
He did EXACTLY what you should. He rode the “trough” kinda surfing but not plowing. I’m a professional captain that runs 31’ fishing boat one day and a 90’ Viking the next. This guy is boss level.
Hey dad whats the conditions look like today? Well son, we got a North East wind about 28 knots, and 4 to 8 foot seas. Terrific I'll load up the pontoon!
This guy did a good job, but those pontoon boats belong on inland water. Originally, I thought in rough water pontoon boats might come apart. Happy to say I am wrong.
That’s not caught in rough waves, that’s properly navigating rough waves. He knew exactly what he was doing. Just goes to show, it’s not the boat, but the one in charge that makes it a safe trip.
Why is a pontoon boat in Haulover Inlet? LMAO! He made it, but he just DOES NOT BELONG! LMAO! 🤣🤣🤣🤣I love how he takes his hands off the controls and then PROMPTLY has to put them right back! LOL! That was just entirely too close for rational humans! Man, you need a REAL boat before any wave known to man knocks you off of that platform with a steering wheel! 🤣🤣🤣
It amazes everyone to see people bring lake craft into open waters , it’s a different beast . Coming to see the next bucket challenge , this is why boat manufacturers should put a huge label on the captains chair ,non sea going craft , blame it on the cold snacks .
He did a good job piloting his boat though. Probably the best pontoon captain I've seen so far. Anybody else notice the human skull in front of the helm?
Always amazes me the idiots who try to run haulover without life jackets even on the kids. Anyone who watches these videos knows things can go badly within seconds.
He's not caught up in the waves, he owed those waves!! I think he held his own like a been there done that sort of way!!! He even knew to wave at you!!! 🤣
Looks like he did a pretty good job to me! 👍
Yeah, did perfect. Hope they got some fish!
Ayep... as much as I laugh at Poontang boats in the ocean (& in general), he did fine. Probably had a nice stable platform to fish off of too.
@@jeffrandolf5673 I'm not a big fan of pontoons either but but because I live in Delaware I see a lot of em crabbing with the family and I must say they have a nice party on deck a lot.
Handled it like a pro lol
Top job!
Sad when a family on an old pontoon boat handles Haulover better than every million dollar Midnight Express I’ve seen.
it’s the quality of captain not of boat
I think the the Mnight express boats are one of the few that seen to handle it better actually. 😂 But the captain has the final input.
Just goes to show you that just because they can afford a bigger boat. They don’t necessarily have the smarts to go with it.
Money cannot buy skill
I’ve noticed that the Scarabs are unstoppable
I think that might be the best pontoon captain of all time...
For his day job he's a fishing boat owner/captain on the Bering Sea. Heh, heh...well, he might be!
pontoon Sparrow
The best Captain I've seen so far..... and he's doing it in a pontoon boat; EPIC!
He did EXACTLY what you should. He rode the “trough” kinda surfing but not plowing. I’m a professional captain that runs 31’ fishing boat one day and a 90’ Viking the next. This guy is boss level.
Who says professional captain?? 🤡
I am a professional captain examiner...
Fuck yea gotta cut the wake
Your a professional narcissistic keyboard warrior in grandma’s basement!
I thought pontoon boats were only for lakes.
There might have been rough waves but that Captain was handling his vessel well. No fuss no muss.
now if only million dollar power boats can make it without punching into a wave there'd be nothing to film pontoon guy handled it like a legend
😆💯
That guy knows what he is doing...even full of beer no doubt lol. Great stuff.
The calmness of the crew says it all
We can get a guy to bring it in with no issues with the pontoon boat and yet these other guys, drive it into the back of a wave. 😂 LEGEND
For a pontoon he handled haulover like a Boss
Legend has it they came in from offshore 20 miles out
Nicely done! A true veteran of Haulover…👍
F*ckin a man I wasn't expecting to be in the presence of royalty today, that's the King of Haulover right there!
Hey dad whats the conditions look like today? Well son, we got a North East wind about 28 knots, and 4 to 8 foot seas. Terrific I'll load up the pontoon!
Now your funny! 😂 I'm still laughing 😅, and let's not forget they must have loaded every dam rod they own, 🤣🤣🫣🫣🫣🫣
They probably stayed out too long. This guy however knew exactly what he was doing.
One of the best times to take your pontoon boat out in the ocean is when there’s a small craft advisory in effect.
The captain did an amazing job. My coolers and most likely my passengers would've been swimming away 😂
FINALLY, SOMEONE THAT KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING
With as much weight as he had in the front of that boat, that young man did an excellent job 🤘👍
I'd go out with him any day. Very skilled captain
He's a better captain than 99% of the guys with million dollar boats!
Dude is a pro. Pontoons actually handle rough water well, if you know what you're doing. They're smooth and stable boats.
Staying on the back of the waves as much as possible. Steady as she goes captain. good job.
This dude know how to captain his boat on this inlet! ❤🎉
I see these big pontoon party barges in Lake Superior all the time. It's pretty amazing what they can handle
The Captain did a great job steering his boat through those rough waters.
Fine job, Capt! The way it is supposed to be done.
This guys knows what’s up! King of the pontoon!!
Nice job Cap’n!
This guy did a good job, but those pontoon boats belong on inland water. Originally, I thought in rough water pontoon boats might come apart. Happy to say I am wrong.
Once again Captain Morgan at the helm and still no Life Jackets!!? 🤔🤯🤐😎
He did a great job getting out of there, but taking a pontoon boat on Haulover is insane
Like a boss 👌🏻
That pilot deftly knew what he was doing! Nicely done, mate!
Handled that like a champ...
If this guy yelled "I've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty" I think I would have an extended warranty.
I live on an island in the north atlantic. I'm shocked by seeing so few people wearing PFD's in these videos.
Not one life jacket in sight 😂
Not this Captain's 1st rodeo, that's for sure.
Captain skill level: Professional Dad
Drinking beer always has a way of lessening the danger factor ❤😂
bro was sitting on auto pilot for a while before he felt he had to get up lol
Given the fact that boat has no business being in the ocean…the captain did a pretty good job
That was probably the best looking one I've seen in a while that's cuz he didn't go too fast
My guy handled that really good, pontoons seem like they’d be the hardest to get in and out of there
Dude was keeping his speed in the wave and not trying to act like aquaman punching through them. Respect the ocean and go with the flow
There's no way I would have gotten on that boat.
That experience shows!!! I would be terrified to come in through there on a pontoon!!!
Captain has SKILLS
That guy said “it’s a little rough out there today. I think we better take the pontoon boat.”
The dude on the back drinking a beer knowing his buddies got that shit.
Actually did pretty well!
But I will never understand why people insist on taking pontoon boats into the frikken ocean!
One hand, why tf would you even take a pontoon out in that? And on the other hand looked like he did an outstanding job driving it in....
I don’t know what it is about pontoon boats but those things belong in the lakes lol 😂
A pontoon boat in the ocean?? WTF?
Even a tri toon has no business anywhere but a river.
Definitely the wrong boat for the conditions but Capt. did an excellent job and handled his vessel well
A pontoon is absolutely the worst vessel to cross that water..😅😅
Even more impressive when you realize that pontoon is overloaded... Stacked to the gills with coolers, fish gear, grill, etc, plus five people.
You can tell the guy man in the boat he was a little skeptical at first
Holy Molly they've made it back in one piece who needs a catamaran when you've got this puppy.
Somebody buy that man, a real boat he’s a Captain
Notice how he made everybody sit in the back. Good captain.
I questioned his judgment at first, but the Cap'n knew his craft, and handled it as a Pro.
Pontoon and skipper handled it like a boss.
If only he hadn’t raised his arms in glory, that would have been perfect. Kudos.
This is a pontoon boat for lake and river use. They break up very easily on the open ocean. We've seen photos.
That’s not caught in rough waves, that’s properly navigating rough waves. He knew exactly what he was doing. Just goes to show, it’s not the boat, but the one in charge that makes it a safe trip.
He’s doing better than most of the other captains lol good job!
This is a goddamn good ass captain I tell you that
So how was it “caught in rough waves”? Just keep it real.
I'm always amazed that people take pontoons out offshore
He did a pretty good job! Although pontoon boats are not made to go in rough water, they’re made for lakes with smooth water!
Pretty damn good job for a 1500$ dual toon. He outclassed 95% of the people out there regardless if it's a 10 million dollar yacht or a run about
I almost sank my pontoon on a choppy lake. This dude has skills
This is plum crazy to have that pontoon boat out there.
It amazes everyone to see people bring lake craft into open waters , it’s a different beast . Coming to see the next bucket challenge , this is why boat manufacturers should put a huge label on the captains chair ,non sea going craft , blame it on the cold snacks .
Now that’s a true native Floridian
Don't act surprised...you already know.
I bet that the passengers of the Titanic wish he was their captain 😂
The crew gives you an idea of how good this guy is and everyone aboard knows it.
Pontoons are meant for lakes and ponds, not the open ocean or treacherous inlet.
And no life jackets!!! Put his family at risk!!!😢😢
Capt has skills. He didn't even stuff it.
Pontoon boats are the broken down pick-up trucks of the sea
He put his arms up like Rocky cause he knows he did well
He did a good job piloting his boat though. Probably the best pontoon captain I've seen so far.
Anybody else notice the human skull in front of the helm?
Always amazes me the idiots who try to run haulover without life jackets even on the kids. Anyone who watches these videos knows things can go badly within seconds.
How does he manage to walk? He's gotta have a big set to take that little pontoon boat out in the ocean.
NO Lifejackets? ARRRGH!
This pontoon skipper really knows how to operate a pontoon boat in rough seas. This in not his first rodeo!
He's not caught up in the waves, he owed those waves!! I think he held his own like a been there done that sort of way!!! He even knew to wave at you!!! 🤣
I know “they” say pontoons shouldn’t be out in open water like that but if you have the skills of this legend “they” can suck it!
couldn't get me out in the ocean on that
That guy has learned how to ride the waves in instead of dropping into the troughs.
As soon as I saw that pontoon I expected disaster. But he actually manages it.
I can hear the corrosion from here
He rocked it , had people middle of back .He really didn't want to end up on fail list on camera. Haha
At first, I thought holy 💩! I was expecting a wave to tear that boat apart - then captain shredded it & did a great job!
