- Tiffany thinks she might be related to the Rocketman, Sir Elton John. Tiffany's grandmother Phyllis shared his surname, Dwight and both families came from Buckinghamshire. Tiffany and her father have come to My Family Secrets Revealed hoping historian, Tessa Dunlop will be able to find a connection through family history research. I just did some family research and found out that i'm also Elton Johns 6th cousin twice removed through William Dwight and Elizabeth Sills, my 7 times Great grandparents. Also my 4 times great grandparents are David Dwight and Elizabeth Hadock, making me and this lady in the video 5th cousins i believe. If you could reply that would be great :)
Maybe not quite so exciting but also 6th cousin twice removed of 1959 FA cup winning goal scorer, Roy Dwight, who, of course, is Elton's cousin.
I believe Edwin & Eileen Dwight were my Grandfathers siblings. We couldn't afford to maintain our Ancestry subscription so have now sadly lost the tree. How lovely it would be to have Tessa Dunlop's skill and resources to use. It would make very interesting reading. How lucky you were Tiffany.
I think Tiffany and Elton should virtually meet each other. I hope and pray it happens soon!
Although everybody has around 174,000 6th cousins. That's a lot of people who will be asking for the same haha

Yes, within just 6.generations one could have several thousand cousins.everyone is related to everyone somewhere.

Yes--as the saying goes, "Everyone is related to everyone in some form or another".
I did a DNA test and it immediately showed me over 14,000 second - fifth cousins. Mind you, these are only cousins registered on the DNA site. I did a DNA test on another site and it gave me over 11,000 second - fifth cousins. It's true that, once you go out far enough, we do start being related to a large percentage of everyone who once lived these last few hundred years.
Not everyone but a huge group of people.
My Mother Helena who is 94 years old,adopted me when I was two months old. I am a 57 year old woman. We both did an Ancestry.com DNA test this week. I also sent a DNA testing kit to my oldest daughter in California. Her Father is Latin. So....Three tests sent in . I am excited to finally find out my biological background. I live in America

I did the family trees of Keith Richards on Ancestry if anybody is interested. A lot of London French Huguenot Ancestry in the 1600s on his side

6th cousin, twice removed!???!? Hey, if you're going to go back that far, then I'm wondering who we all might be related to!?!?! That's crazy! BTW, you can't even get this much information about your background unless you pay for upgraded services. If you just pay for the initial kit all you get is a your possible ethnicities...not lineage information. I'd almost deem it a waste of money except that I happened to get in on a sale......Just saying................

I am related to Elvis on my Dads fathers side by 5 related Presley marriages grandmother etc, and also on his mother’s side four generations back the Native American grandmother. It’s interesting to be in the same circle but never knew
