I was the older brother and had to move 1,000 miles away for college in 2013. Pandemic and work situation had me move another 2,500 miles away. It’s 9 years later. I didn’t have a chance to come home since the pandemic started cause I’m in the medical field. It’s been a battlefield. Missed 9 years of my only one brother growing up. We even shared a golden retriever like the two in the video. Dog passed away, mom sold home, brother finished middle school, now college. I really hope he knows I wanted to be there for it all. So this was emotional. Beautiful song. Masterpiece. Thank you.

When ever life gets hard, sons of the east is always my go to.
Another gem for all those moments when your thoughts go round and round and round; songs that make you appreciate the 'loop' function.
If "Into The Sun" is the opening credits of a long-term full-length feature, then "You Might Think" is akin to the intermission. Can't wait for the rest of the musical genius to unfold as the years and decades go by. 💙

That scene at 3.58 reminds me of the last time I saw my younger brother. I was taking an auto rickshaw on the highway to leave for my senior school and coaching in Kota. I guess we had momentary eye contact and a casual goodbye hand wave. A few months later that year, suddenly I got to hear he was no more due to an operation failure in the hospital. I came back home. I could not stop crying, more because I saw my father crying for the first time. Little had I thought, that it would be the last time I would be seeing him on the highway near our house.
It's been 10 years now. We don't talk about him much at home. But deep within I know how every single day, he flashes in our thoughts. Time flies. You just learn to live with it.
Such a poignant memory of your brother. I feel for you. Always keep the good times close to your heart man.

You guys have won me with this song. We are 7 in my family 4 women and 3 men I am the youngest brother and middle child my brother is only a year older in difference. But we were inseparable he would defend me against any one and once in a while he would let me beat him up. I am now a long time survivor of HIV over 30 years I am 50 now and trying a bit of a cleaner life style. I am also gay and when my brother speaks of me he always mentions how proud he is having a gay brother. Some times is a bit embarrassing but I am also very proud of him he is a journalist in puerto vallarta Mexico. And has gotten kidnapped a couple of times because of his passion for the news. I hope to see him soon and give him a strong hug that it might break him. Thank you for your song.

It reminds of my teenage life with my elder brother. Nights when he took me out to watch moon eclipse, wee hours when he woke me up to watch live first footage of Titanic, afternoons when he took me on bike ride to fill my first college forms. We are lucky to have elder brothers even though we fought with them a lot.

Just heard this song as the opening song of your fabulous concert at Colours of Ostrava. Had me hooked from the first note and for the entire show. sons of the east are a blessing to me. 3 years back i was searching for *city of the sun* on spotify(using vpn as im from india and spotify didn't launched at that time) I misspelled sun as sons and *sons of the east* popped up and fortunately I clicked on that page. since then im loving soae.

I have just discovered your band and I rarely comment, but I am rarely so moved on so many levels by the whole package of nostalgia for my youth, love for the Australian bush and lifestyle, and appreciation of beauty - a perfect blend of sound and vision and emotion. I am 51 and I listened several times but only just realised I relate because I was the little sister who said goodbye to a much older brother, whom I didn't know I cared so much about. He introduced much of his music taste to me, and so I sent this song to him.

Wow. I'm speechless. A perfect depiction of that point in a young life where hard changes start happening. First loss. Even with close families, separation due to people growing up is hard. I look at this as a father, thinking both of the time when my eldest left home and when my youngest did. It's hard on the parents too.

Dear Sons Of The East. I'm from Poland so I apologize for my English. I have your music on my car. Today when i listen your music I thought maybe U have something new and i found this song on YT. I have 1 year old daughter. She is never interested TV. Overall it's good. But today I played this song on YT. When my daughter heard it she ran and looked your video 7 TIMES! She constantly looked at the TV set and moved sideways (dancing). Then I played her other songs with the same effect. Later she fell asleep to your music without any problems ... I'm waiting for your next songs. You are incredible. I wanna have your music on the vinyl. Best regards from Poland.
