Following the World Health Organization on social media and visiting their website is also a great way to stay updated on global public health issues. People are becoming increasingly frustrated with wealth disparity. Many are starting to connect the dots.
I'm in Washington State and found info on our state agencies (Dept of Agriculture) that the human cases (very few) here so far have been direct contact with chickens. Human to human contact has not yet been detected. Report was updated Jan 24 2025. Thanks for a good suggestion to check. Do be careful handling any dead or ill wild animals, (raccoons, bobcats etc found in Olympic National Park with it) Not good for (outdoor) cats to be hunting birds either. Reports that a shelter in Washington lost several large cats (tigers) to it.
