When I watched this scene for the first time I felt it was kinda empowering since she's making her desires known without hesitation n I find that strong in a woman. Now that i have started binge watching from the start for the second time after completing the 16th season, I've realized that this scene portrays her as a weak n pathetic person n I absolutely hate it. Also in hindsight Derek was such a toxic choice for her. It should have been Finn, always Finn. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

He should feel dumb having left the show. I feel like both him and Meredith (and while we're at it Christina Yang) were the heart of the show. Without those relationships the show is definitely missing something - at least from the perspective of someone who watched from S1:E1.

This show really can’t live on for me without Meredith’s relationships with Derek and Cristina. Cristina’s departure made sense for the direction of her character, but it was effectively a series finale for me. I couldn’t keep watching and was so devastated to read that Derek died a few seasons later. There’s no longer any consistency to the show or quality character development, just soap opera twists and turns. The characters introduced in the first 5-6 seasons were the heart of the show.
They should've ended the show a longgggg time ago

I feel the same. I watched the show up to 10 and once Cristina left I was done. I was thinking about watching it again but then I heard that Derek died and I knew right then that there was no way I was watching this show again. Now, I only watch like the first 3 seasons on repeat because i feel thats when this show was at its best. Now the show just seems to be on auto pilot. Just going through the motions until it finally ends. Also I see a lot of fans who seek to just be watching the show because they've been watching it since the beginning and need a conclusion.
I mean, you guys know these are actors, yeah? Folks doing a job? You've never left a job when the time was right to move on? I understand it is sad and strange and not the same. Believe me, I understand! But Grey's has offered lots, since Cristina left- and honestly, lots since derek died too. I'm super grateful they've continued to make magic and push the envelope. I'm *hotly furious* about how Chambers' exit was handled, but nobody knows what happened there, so I have to give the benefit of the doubt, I guess. I wish they'd just killed him offscreen.

Mark, Derek, Christian and Lexi were the heart of the show, they all somehow contributed to Meredith's personal growth and were also so damn unique. For me the show died with them.
Absolutamente. Loosing them was like watching a horror movie. And then you they aspect you hang around for more trauma. Build a foundation and let the world try to make them crumble.

I recently started experiencing anxiety and a lot of stress watching Grey’s Anatomy reruns on Netflix it’s the only thing that keeps me sane! I stopped after MCDreamy dies and start all over from season 1. I so miss Sloan, Lexy , Yang ,O’Malley,Alex, McDreamy, Torres and Arizona !❤️

I just started watching Grey's Anatomy a couple months ago and I'm already on season 8. However, I do know Derek dies. I'm afraid to see that bc it will ruin me & my love for the show. It just won't be the same without him. And while we're at it, I'll miss Christina too.🤧😭😖

Bc he was rumored to be cheating and he was already barely on bc he wanted to do other projects and he and Shonda were not getting along so he was killed off mid contract, they didn't write him in DC having an affair and leaving his kids and Meredith so they killed him off instead.
He wanted to race cars full time and they wouldn't let him out of his contract so he started not showing up and being obnoxious, so, he got his way out.

It’s so cool that he is aware of and acknowledged the fact that many people including myself are becoming doctors or have already become doctors because of Grey’s Anatomy

I love this show Meredith and Derek had a special bond and Bailey was like the mom to everybody she pulled everybody together through there ups and downs this show inspired me to become a nurse the show help me through my fears of blood surgeries and cancer i got through it with all the episodes it helped me through my sanity while i was sick i watched greys anatomy the originals are the best of them all ty greys anatomy for helping me through my fears of being a nurse !!!👍

Regardless of whether he left or was made to leave or whatever, i miss Derek and Meredith sooooooooooo much😭😭😭. I’ve watched this show since season 1, episode 1. I’m a diehard. Derek and Meredith’s relationship WAS the show. It’s why I started watching. It hooked me. I can’t tell you how devastated I was when I watched that episode when Derek died. Omg. I was sitting there sobbing, tears running down my face, nose running, the whole shebang. Not a pretty sight lol. I know, I’m a dork bc it’s “just a tv show.” But oh how I love this show !! And to this day, I’m sick that Derrick and Meredith are just bittersweet history😭💔
15 Seasons on Netflix.. I started back at Season 1 again this year. Was nice to see him alive again.

I know for me, changes have occurred in my life where I've been so homesick for everything familiar. Moved away from where I've grown up and spent most of my adult life.. All my friends and lost my Uncle who was my Universe, two years ago, to a sudden heart attack.. I'm disabled now and unable to move back... And my Uncle will never be back. 💔 😢 Just get so much longing for things old and familiar. Comfort. Familiar faces... I know that being able to go back and Revisit an old show that you've felt so connected to, feels almost like having that comfort back, within your own control... Beyond just your memories.. Something tangeable... Helps tremendously. Atleast for me. Like being able to rewind stages of life to a point. It's helped me more than I can really explain. Old and familiar is a comfort. 💜 A way to turn back time on some things... Really does help the heart. I'm grateful for such things. 💜 And watching again, was like a new experience too because perspective of things change as we grow, so I'm noticing things I didn't before..... That's also a nice thing because it gets the mind going and new perspective always helps you in real life situations. I've found some empowerment lately that I've needed to use in a few situations with people. I can almost guarantee you will take something new out of watching it all over again... Your emotions will heal as well. Death is a hard thing to go thru, watching others push thru helps so much. I was able to process Derek's death differently as well as losing my Uncle too. Alot of perspective gained a second time around. Grateful for that ability. Most definitely go watch it from the beginning again. You won't regret it. 💜 Blessings to you!

It’s so sad as a teen to watch this. Because you can binge watch 10 seasons in just a couple weeks. And before you know it people are dying off and it’s so sad but then you realize that that is 10 years of their lives not the 3 weeks it took you to watch it

That's dumb. Season 12 if anything was about overcoming the grief of losing the love of your life, & not let it get to you. Season 13, Meredith hooked up with 2 people, and end of season 14 Meredith went on a date & now she has a relationship with Deluca. She's not hooking up "left and right", she's became a world renowned surgeon.
I started watching greys when I was 13 .. now I'm 24 and I'm a first year pediatrics resident .. all thanks to Greys anatomy ❤❤

I don't think either of them have said they didn't like the other. Ellen says she has no ill will towards him and loved working with him and Patrick said he loved working with her. So idk where all this "they don't like each other" is coming from

I still miss Derek tremendously for Meredith's sake. She's just not the same now. She's still super strong and all, but you can feel the difference. It's hard to explain

So this show made a lot of people want to become doctors but in my case I always wanted to be a dr before this show came out and it is because of this show that I decided to finally make the move to med school. I've had to hold of on that dream but Grey's gave me hope!

From what is seems like, no one actually knows why Patrick left the show. Some people think is cause he wanted to leave to be with his family, some think he got kicked off, some think that he had an affair, some think its for racing, some think he got into a fight with Ellen. Regardless, I dont think Ellen has any ill will towards Ellen and vise versa. When Ellen came forth saying that she should have been getting paid as much as him when the show first started didn't really make any sense. I know she is the main protagonist but at the time, no one really knew Ellen. Patrick was already a well known actor at the time so of course he was getting paid more than her. I think people just need to let it be. Who knows, Shonda might invite him back on the show when its about to end. I mean Isaiah (Burke) was confirmed fired, but she did want him back when it was time to close Christinas story. So maybe when the show ends, or when Meredith leaves, they will bring him back somehow. They started this show together, they should finish it.
