Great points. I once fished where a stained creek entered a clear lake just after a rain. Every time my crank bait came out of the stain it got ambushed or reacted upon. Just wish I had used a bigger bait to get the bigger fish. As far as schooling, I didn’t change casts or boat positions and caught over a dozen fish. I would consider that edge fishing too. You nailed it!
I just started learning about seasonal behavior. Bank access limits you to certain conditions, so it will be helpful knowing when to go after crappie, Kokanee, or catfish instead of getting skunked every time.

While on light duty after appendix surgery last year I was doing a bit of dock fishing since I couldn't launch my boat and I watched a 2-3 lb LMB near the dock stun a bluegill, smacking it several times before taking it down
Edges where different water clarities meet, current seems, and even where wind causes ripples in the water next to where it doesn't are all edges that I now use to target fish.... wish I knew then what I know now. Good video! 👍🏻

Right off the batt, I agree with bass being reaction hunters. They are not ambush predators. Easily confused, but not the same. A flounder is a prime example of an ambush predator.
Totally agree with you. I just did a video on that topic just a few weeks ago and use flounder, halibut, etc as an example. It is definitely easily confused. Thanks for watching!
I fish a 70 acre semi private lake one of my best spots is a 45 degree angle 100 ft long bank the bottom sits in a what's left of a creek channel it's only 10 ft deep at the bottom but is usually shaded I cast to the shore as soon as my presentation hits the light at 15 ft off bank I get bit I know the bass are there without even making the cast because the minnows and bluegill are herded up tight to the bank and I assume the bass are simply waiting for the baitfish to come out of hiding

Those are such fun spots to fish. Definitely the faves on my lake too.
