  • Hey everyone! I’m this video I show you first how to make your project 8.5 x 11 or however big you will be printing. Then I describe how to set the DPI. Next I will go into exactly how to make different tumbler templates. Now this requires just a little bit of math. We set the DPI to 400. So to figure out the template size in pixels we times the inches by 400 pixels(dots per inch)
    If you guys need any help please feel free to put your questions in the templates.

    Can you please do a video on how you changed that LV you had on your gallery I saw (haha ) to a design inside like the messy bun. I’m going to assum you did it the same exact way you did the messy bun one right ?

      Hey Crystal sorry that I’m just seeing your comment.… Yes he would use clipping mask just like you put the design over the messy bun glasses and headband. Also another video I did the same thing with another design. It’s the same technique. But yes I can make a video of course!

    Do you print from procreate or add to design space?

    • @makedesignsonprocreate
      @makedesignsonprocreate  2 года назад +1

      I could print from procreate but I like the better Quality of printing from a computer. On a computer you can change printer settings such as auto reverse the image and slow print instead of fast print. So I send the image to my email and then print from there on my laptop.

    Does this work for Starbucks designs? Or do you have a video for that too? Also how do you take multiple layers to move to cricut WITHOUT individual loading. I want to be able to load a file and all layers be there at once… if that makes sense 😩

    • @makedesignsonprocreate
      @makedesignsonprocreate  Год назад

      Hey! I’m still learning more about cut files and mostly specifically how to upload an svg file where all colors and layers are automatically detected within one file. Currently I am doing it the long way and saving individual layers but I will reach out to a few fellow designers and see how they do it. I need to learn this too but we can learn together 😊 I’ll find out and post soon… and what did you mean about the Starbucks designs? Sorry for the delayed reply ❤️

    I was wondering if you could help me. I wanted to create a template such as this but, for the shape of a ceramic 1.5 oz. shot glass. I have the perfect shape I've been using in another platform I use on the computer for design but, would love the opportunity to use it like this for the tumblers on Procreate. Any advice? I'm kind of lost and I notice not many do the full coverage shot glasses but, it's kind of my thing.

    • @makedesignsonprocreate
      @makedesignsonprocreate  Год назад

      Hey Chris so so sorry for the delayed reply. I don’t know why am just seeing this. You can import a shape that you are using in a different program and then simply resize it to make sure that it is ready to print. If you have any other questions let me know

    What would it be for a 32 Oz tumbler?🙂

    • @makedesignsonprocreate
      @makedesignsonprocreate  2 года назад

      There are a couple different size 32 ounce tumblers. You can either Google your specific brand of Tumbler Or you can measure height and circumference of the ones you have. If they are tapered you measure the top and the bottom so you have the right measurements when making the template.I have 2 different type 32 ounce ones that are tapered and measurements are 12.64x9 or 12.6x8.7

    How do I figure the 30oz tumblers please

    • @makedesignsonprocreate
      @makedesignsonprocreate  Год назад

      So you can do the same method and google 30 ounce tumbler template. You can trace that image and then resize that shape to the height of the Tumblr. So the same steps just using different measurement… I hope that made sense

      Same method as the 20 oz tapered but get the measurements for the 22 oz tapered tumbler… measure Height and circumference off top and bottom 😊

    how do you make a tapered one though :(

    • @makedesignsonprocreate
      @makedesignsonprocreate  Год назад

      Hey I explained how I made a tapered template in procreate in this tutorial 😊 Did I not explain it well enough or did you get lost at a certain part? I basically Google search 20 ounce tapered template and pictures on google came up. But they’re not PNG files like I need so I trace the shape and then re-sized it to the size that I know that they are height wise. When resizing I keep uniform selected so that it stays the same ratio. So if you just know the height of your cup it’ll automatically adjust To the right size. Now you can send it to the printer. And it’ll print the right size and ratio. That’s why I like to make my canvas 8 1/2 x 11 or 4.25×5.5 which is the same ratio. Then I know when I create my template it’s either scaled 1 to 1 or every half inch equals 1 inch on my canvas. The easy part is tracing the template. The more difficult thing is learning how to resize everything to print. But you can always use a different program to print if it’s easier

    Which I pad you are using???

      I am using an iPad Pro 12.9 inch fourth generation with 512 GB. The memory is important because procreate is using at least 200 GB of that and it can’t be stored in the iCloud app storage needs to be saved on the iPad then I have a second generation Apple Pencil

    • @makedesignsonprocreate
      @makedesignsonprocreate  2 года назад

      In general I recommend getting an iPad sixth generation or newer. I started out on the iPad sixth generation with the first Apple Pencil. Sixth generation iPads are compatible with the first Apple Pencil and anything before that those iPads are not compatible with any Apple Pencil. After I got the sixth generation iPad I upgraded to the iPad Air then to the iPad I have now with the second generation Apple Pencil that I had gotten while I had the iPad Air
