The Lab NYC is Mixmag and WAV's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our Brooklyn office. Thursday, December 20, the Moldovan superstar Andrew Rayel dug through his roots to perform a classic trance set.
Having been producing music since he was just 13 years old, Andrew Rayel has enjoyed a storied career, rising through the ranks to become one of today's main figures pushing the big room trance sound. With a unique approach in the studio and a background studying classical orchestra, he's developed a musical identity revolving around his emotive piano textures, harmonic melodies and a euphoric motif. He's received support from trance legend Armin van Buuren, with numerous releases on Armada Music, Armin and A State Of Trance imprints and now under his own label inHarmony Music. On top of that, Rayel has remixed tracks by many of the scenes key figures including Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, W&W, Dash Berlin, and many more.
When Andrew Rayel is not in the studio he's touring the world over, making stops at major events like Kazantip, Global Gathering, Creamfields, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnivals and many more. Now when he stops off at The Lab NYC, it will provide a rare intimate setting for this superstar to take listeners on a journey through the classic trance sound.

@@TranceChild369 only the filters can do that, trance has always been going, its just that nobody who tells people what to listen to talks about it anymore. Give it 10 -20 years and it'll possibly make a mainstream comeback.
It wont make a comeback with you all shrowing shit at innovation. Nobody wants to hear rising stars remaking or repeating tracks 20-10 years ago. That's not innovation. And it's not exciting. They are trying to sell tickets not make you happy in your home when you wont go out and buy tickets.
