Conservation of Shipwrecks off the Western Australia coast - Dr Ian D MacLeod - All at Sea Lecture

Dr Ian D MacLeod, in a lecture curated by the Australasian Corrosion Association Foundation, discusses conservation and the study of corrosion on various shipwrecks off the Western Australian Coast. Dr MacLeod, amongst other things, discusses significant findings from the Batavia, Zeewijk, SS Xantho and HMAS Sydney II shipwrecks and how examining the corrosion of these wrecks can reveal huge amounts of useful and interesting information. This lecture includes a special focus on some fantastic restoration work done on the Hartogh and de Vlamingh plates, by the Synchrotron Team.
