- This one is a bit interesting. The park had just opened and the majority (like, almost all) of people there were seeing these attractions for the very first time. Listen to how quiet the guests are during this preshow video, and how they laugh in several areas, seeing the gags for the very first time. Much like watching a movie on opening weekend in a theater, you get reactions with first-time riders you'll never get again.
Soarin' Over California Preshow at Disney's California Adventure on 2-18-2001, just ten days after the park opened to the public. As time permits, I will be enhancing this old Digital8 footage and posting it in higher resolution, but for now … enjoy this wonderful low resolution raw footage.

1:52 Whoa, I had no idea that this part of the preshow used to have an immediate jump-cut. I’m guessing it was unintentional.
What has changed?
This is before they put subtitles in the safety videos!
Do we know when that change happened? I recall in preshows with many monitors, like MuppetVision 3D, they would have one or two with subtitles on, at some point, but I do not recall subtitles at all in the early days.
