Are you also making a mistake by placing Ganpati ji on your main door?
We do not keep Ganesh Ji on the Main Entrance of the house, Why?
Because we place them in the suitable place for Gods, that is the North-East Direction, The place known as the abode(Home) of the Gods.
If we keep the God outside our house that means we are making him our GATEKEEPER!
That is something wrong and we will not get blessings of the lord.
There used to be a very small village in Rajasthan where the deity was placed o the entrance of the house. That village perished with no remains.
Parvati Ji asked her son Ganesha to not allow anyone while she was bathing but Lord Shiva came. He asked to let him go but he was refused. Then the two fought and that was at the time when Parvati Ji asked Lord Ganesha to guard the place but we cannot do that.
So never ever place the lord on the Main Entrance/Door/Gate of your house, even by mistake.

पार्वती जी ने अपने पुत्र गणेश से कहा कि वह स्नान करते समय किसी को भी अनुमति न दें लेकिन भगवान शिव आये। उसने उसे जाने देने के लिए कहा लेकिन उसे मना कर दिया गया। तब दोनों में लड़ाई हुई और वह समय था जब पार्वती जी ने भगवान गणेश को उस स्थान की रक्षा करने के लिए कहा लेकिन हम ऐसा नहीं कर सकते।
इसलिए भूलकर भी भगवान को अपने घर के मुख्य प्रवेश द्वार/गेट पर कभी न रखें

Request you to Kindly don't make IRRELEVANT STATEMENTS/ANALYSIS about--- not doing---Ganpati idol sthapna on main door--- solely based on your own personal theories/opinions. Remember that- Ganpati Idol at main door IS A STRONG BELIEF/FAITH OF HINDUS since ages and FAITH IS THE BIGGEST HEALER/DOCTOR/PROTECTOR.
