  • This video primarily focuses on the significant flaws of the X2, a device sold for nearly €1500, as well as the inherent issues with D-shaped or square robots, like Neato or the Dreame W10.

Thanks! X2 looks pretty bad here- Was AIVI 3d off during the whole test? Why was it off?

Off only when I mentioned it. I did it to be sure it didn't try to avoid this mess I made with cat litter.

Just returned my X2. It lost the ability to find its base no matter where you put it and tried remapping several times. I like the design but not sure if I should get a replacement or try Roborock..

You should try any other brand than Ecovacs (Roborock, Dreame (L20 is very good)). The answer is in the video lol

@@ArnaudGeopolitico I’m going to give it one more try. However both brands should really be taking into consideration, the dust bins need to be at least twice the size they currently are.. One room fills them up if you have pets…

Tu trouves mieux en efficacité le Vibrarise de chez Roborock ou les serpillères rotatives de chez Dreame ?

Je dirais quand même les rotatives... Mais ça se joue à peu.

I'm not talking nonsense. I have lots of experience with these hoovers. Once I had turned off AI, nothing was missed and hoovering was in a straight line. Also, it does do the outer box first and then deals with the inner. So, your comment about it missing is totally unjustified.
I also own the Deebot X2 and works perfectly, in fact, if you watch other creators on RUclips, all of them have had a positive experience. So, as you are the minority, you clearly are doing something wrong, haven't updated the firmware or just been extremely unlucky and have a malfunctioning unit.

You are getting these result because you have AI Turned on in DEEBOT X2 APP. PLEASE TURN THIS OFF in order for the robot to hoover in stright line and get to the edges. AI has a mind of its own. Also, when the hoover starts cleaning the room, it will Clean the outside of the boarder first and then hoover inside the actual boarder/room. It clearly states this on the manual so watching videos like this i very frustrating as clearly you have NOT read the manual and yet expect perfect results.
    Turn AI off.
    Select 2 passes of cleaning.
    Select appropriate sucktion power.
add area for addtional cleaning with the + button next to start in the APP.

You are talking nonsense. Obstacle avoidance is active throughout the video, EXCEPT during the litter test, precisely to prevent the AI from mistakenly recognizing something on the floor. This is clearly mentioned in the video, if you had read before commenting.
The litter test is performed with zone cleaning, while all the other tests are done with room cleaning. I am used to using the room cleaning function by selecting the suction power and water level based on the type of flooring and dirt. Furthermore, in all the sequences, AI cleaning (which is supposed to determine the suction level, etc., on its own) is disabled since it is only available when you ask it to clean the entire house.
In summary, before commenting, please make sure you are not completely off base and have watched the entire video. I have owned a multitude of robots: S6 MaxV, S7, S8 (as seen in the video), Neato D4, D10, Deebot N8, T9, X2. And right now, I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Dreame L20. So, I know perfectly well how these robots behave...
