- I love going thrifting for resale and my home decor. In this video, I thrifted 12 large glass jars. I will be using DIY Paint and IOD Paint Inlay to upcycle the lids. Glass jars are so functional and pretty, you can store dry goods or candy or beans and rice in them while they look pretty on your cupboard. I can't wait to share it with you. Tell me what was your favorite color lid in this video.

Light green is my fave. Spring time color

Pretty! One day I will try the paint inlay!
You picked the perfect colors for these they remind me of something my grandma would have had from the ‘40’s or ‘50’s. I absolutely adore them ❤️
So simple but so cool! This is a great intro for someone who hasn't tried the inlays yet. Love seeing the inlays on different color backgrounds. Love them!
Spring green was my favorite
Great choice. Thanks for watching
I have a ton of those jars and use them often. Now I know how to dress them up. Thank you!!
I have that inlay and haven’t used it yet. Love. That green you made is awesome.
Well, so much for promising myself that I would not get into doing inlays! 😂😂😂😂😂. This video was my undoing. Loved what you did with the jar tops.
First-time seeing this , I love it😊😊
Beautiful
The dark blue one❤️
Nice color, thanks for watching
How fun! I have some paint inlays but I'm nervous to use them, your tutorial helped!!
The colors are so pretty! I can't chose a favorite combo! Thanks Connie!
Hello Connie (is that right?), thank you for this video. I never considered painting metal lids with Debi's DIY paints. I will have to try it. Thank you for the recipe for the "spring green" paint color. I will have to try it out. Your lids came out amazing. thank you for this tutorial.
Love them!
Love them!!
love this, thank you for sharing ❤
Cute! I have lots of large jars I was about ready to donate… gonna do this to them instead 😊
The paint inlay is so pretty with all the colors you used that it is hard to pick a favorite. I think Farm Fresh is my favorite.
Love them all Especially yr green you made!
Thank you
Sweet! Love upcycling jars. Useful and beautiful.
Thank you
Love this look. God Bless You
Thank you
That inlay really loos great with a lot of colors. Love it!
Wow how beautiful. Each time I think one is my favorite you do another color. I just love them all. Thank you 🌺
Love this!!!!
Thanks
They remind me of some jars that were left in our house when I was a child. They were different size jars with stickers on them. I think the lady that lived there before us, made her own canisters out of jars. These are so beautiful. I just got that inlays. I can’t wait to use it!! Green is my favorite.
Love❤
Thank you
Love this ❤
Thank you so much
Inlays are fun to work with💕. Love this project!
Those are gorgeous! I see those jars all the time . Now I’m going to be picking them up! My favorite color was the spring green you made!
It’s Connies green!
Oh my gosh, I loved this so much. I am so crazy about Rose Chintz, I want to use it on everything!! Especially with Old 57! It is so vintage, which is so me. I wish the sisters would come out with the same pattern but maybe different colors, in particular, yellow. Those jars are similar to Pioneer Woman jars that I cannot find anymore. Yes, Old 57 is my favorite but thank you for showing us how beautiful some of the other ones are with that inlay and that green you made, gorgeous!
How do you make the coverage you are putting on the lids.
Cool
thanks
Those turned out amazing! So beautiful!❤
Thank you so much
Great video but the sound was very low. I haven't had this trouble with other videos today so not sure what the issue is
New subscriber here! This was a great introduction for a newbie like myself. I have yet to attempt an inlay. Rose Chintz is one of my favorites. "Spring Green" great color! Can you tell me which DIY paint color or mixes would get me closest to the yellow in this inlay? Thank you again!
Sorry I missed your comment, thanks for watching. The yellow in this inlay is pretty close to Liquid Sunshine but I've also put it on Queen Bee and it looks great also.
@@ThePaintedPhotographer No worries about missing my comment. I have both of those suggested colors. If I take the plunge I can try both. Thank you again.🙂
Where did you buy the paint inlays?❤
I have them on my website, here is the link. thepaintedphotographer.com/products/rose-chintz-iod-paint-inlay-12x16-pad?_pos=2&_psq=rose+chintz&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Thanks for watching
I’d go for turquoise every time…. Can’t remember colour names.
That is Old 57, it is a very fun color
Old 57
Love IOD products...unfortunately it can get super pricey esp for a small thrift flipper like myself. Its a bummer when almost every thrift flip/trash to treasure DIY chnl Ive been watching for a couple yrs now ALLL have changed their chnls to basically IOD flips & even though most chnls use the items differently, its all the same type of products and they no longer give their own creative spin to thrift flips. Its alll paint, IOD mold, IOD stamps, IOD transfers and/or DIY brand everything else which is ALSO pricey ($22 for a PINT of paint!). Now the chnls that ALWAYS had the cool, alternative, cheaper done, but looks JUST as good or better than the people that used all the expensive brands....USE the expensive brands & no longer has that WOW, thats so cool, why didnt I think of THAT factor! Not that the flips or trash to treasure isnt beautiful, of course it is, its IOD & almost everything they put out is beautiful....but I never watched these chnls to see how THEY use Expensive art supplies, I watched because they DIDNT use expensive art supplies, BUT it always LOOKED like they did. Every week, its like, Awwww..... "IOD Got HER too?!", lol, I swear!
Hate to see it, but I guess that is just how it goes these days. There are still a few hold outs, thankfully. And some chnls will throw the peasants that cant afford the expensive art supplies a bone, lol, I just wish it werent like that. And EVERY new release, lol my home page is FULLLLLLL of EVERY thrift diyer's 'New IOD xyz...' video...its crazy, like IOD bought every popular creative chnl and Im sure has cut way down on any chance of competition, lol! Everyone is too busy selling THEIR stuff to make videos using their OWN creative way to achieve the same look. Which is probably the point...that and sales. I just miss the old creative "if you have a regular old printer, some old books and a few household items..." chnls that seem to have just become IOD infomercials now.
MOST people thrift flip bc its cheaper to do & sell and you can make a decent profit just using the old standard of Waverly or FolkArt chalk paint, different techniques for painting, texturizing, adding something fun and UNEXPECTED, and most of all....affordable. I know nothing will change by complaining, lol, Ive been saying this for a while now...its just a bummer when almost every chnl does it now bc when you have to push/sell a product you cant very well give your own creative alternative to acheive the same look. ANyway, glad to your chnl has grown so much! Love the lids....although Ill prob try printing on tissue paper or something & see how that goes, lol! Im also not directing this at this chnl specifically, SOOOOOOOO many of them have done the same. THIS chnl was one of my favs that I havent seen in my feed in a while & I came to see if there were new uploads that I just didnt see the notification for and then I seen all the IOD videos and it crushed me a little, lol ;) But I get it, chnls grow & want to make money, I aint mad at it, I just miss the old way I guess is what Im saying...where EVERYONE could flip without feeling like you HAD to buy certain supplies.
You are a beautiful woman and I love your DIY videos. May I please respectfully say you must change the direction of your camera. You are looking down and almost most of the time it's like a frown. I believe if your camera was on you directly we could see your beautiful eyes.
