Amy, your serving bowl is actually a chamber pot but that’s ok because people use them as flower pots now like you mentioned you’d like to do. I have a few I planted herbs in also.
I signed in just so I could be sure to tell you to never use that pot for serving food! Ha ha I got a beautiful large chamber pot that looked like a cookie jar. Luckily, I found out from an ironstone Fb group what it actually was before I put anything in it! Beautiful finds today!
Amy, I'm pretty sure that iron stone pot is a chamber pot, often used at night rather than going outside to the outhouse! My grandparents used an outhouse up until the early 70s when they finally added a bathroom onto their house!
That is a chamber pot but don’t let that deter you from using it as decor. I own three, and love them. They are versatile, and I think they are so beautiful. I had a few snickers in my family too but I don’t care. 😊
I really enjoyed this shopping at antique store and plant store. The ironstone is lovely. I love real plants and they do bring color and life to the winter months. Have a blessed day.
This was a lovely video Amy. Hope you’re having a wonderful start to the new year. The big ironstone pot is a chamber pot. I have a few in my collection and love to stick plants/herbs in them too. Can’t wait to see how you arrange those ironstone plates on your wall.
The twigs are birch branch tips. 😊 Love your home! I love that you thrift, better for the environment and made to last. I get sick of quick cheap decor at big box stores.
Your style similiar to mine...plants, white plates, new life to forgotten items. I believe those things items are happy that I heard them as I strolled those isles and brought em' home with me to appreciate and care for them. God bless
The first bowl with a handle reminds me of a poe. Growing up with outdoor toilets they were put under the bed at night incase you needed to void in the night.
Amy, I love everything you bought! The white dish you placed on the piano with the plant is beautiful! I've never seen one like that. I think the paperwhites will be supported with the twigs that were placed with them. Thank You for sharing. I love your style. Blessings!!!
What a great haul! I especially love your laundry basket. I pick them up whenever I can find them and really use them for laundry since I hang mine outside to dry. You might consider mixing some old silver trays or baskets in with those ironstone dishes for your wall arrangement.
Love the small terra cotta pot with the creeping Jenny plant. It’s looks nice near your kitchen window. I am wanting to collect a variety of large terra cotta pots and plants for the end of my front porch. You have such a pretty and pleasant smile. 💕
HI Amy, I used to have a brown thumb but everything changed when I bought a plant water meter on Amazon, they are inexpensive and it keeps you from over watering and under watering your plants. Also, when you do water, make sure your plants are not sitting in water they don't like wet feet! : ) It's an extra step but when it's time to water I put all of my plants in my laundry sink, give them all a drink, go about another task, come back and they are ready to go back in their spot. Pinterest is also a great resource for plant care. Good Luck, love your video today. Patti
Hi Amy, very nice Shops, i love all those Shops, they have so many treasures! I love the baskets you found ❤️ green plants are so important for our Environment at home, thx for taking us along! Greetings from austria with many blessings to you 🤗 😊 Christian
Hi Amy, that piece isn’t a serving bowl it is actually a chamber pot. I have two myself and use them for indoor plants as well. Nice find, thanks for taking us along and sharing your treasures with us.
Yes that is most definitely a chamber pot. Another fun idea Amy is to collect chamber pot lids or lids from other china pieces and hang a collection of them as well as your lovely plates.
I love all your plants and baskets, so pretty!! Love the ivy in the Iron stone and the paper whites are beautiful!! Can't wait for more decorating inspiration 😁
Thank you for sharing your fun finds. I love the ironstone plates!! One of these days I want to get some paper whites to grow. They are so beautiful! I enjoy watching your videos and your cozy home!!
Loved exploring antique/thrift shops with you. The plant shopping was my favorite part. Loved the paperwhites arrangement, adds life to homes. The other houseplants are great additions too. When you show your goodies like ironstone, could you show the bottom markings? Thanks for sharing and your delightful personality.
Amy, loved the video! Your chamber pot would look lovely planted with paperwhites. It would also make a sweet base for a small Christmas tree. Keep showing us the lovelies girl!
Love all the real plants you got.I've been getting real ones again love how they look.Your ironstone and baskets are so nice.I'm glad someone did mention the one bowl is a chamber pot.I got one once and did serve something in it probably 40 years ago.My grandma pulled me aside and told me what it was.LOL We laughed about it for many years.
Hi Amy! Happy healthy New Year to you and your beautiful family. I loved you taking us along antique shopping... and I loved all of your finds. The pot with the handle that you bought is actually a chamber pot. I have two of them and I love the way you put the plant in it. Perfect!! Sometimes they even come with lids but I keep old family photos in one of mine so putting a plant in it is a useful way to use. It's very vintage and very pretty. Your house always looks so warm, cozy and inviting. Sending hugs and blessings and looking forward to your next video
I really enjoyed shopping with you! Love your haul and all of your new plants. Good luck with your plants because I do not have a green thumb but I am sure you can keep them alive. Look forward to seeing you hang your plates up. 😊❤😊
Use your iron stone plates, platters to hang on your wall at Christmas time in the shape of a tree. Add a little ribbon and greenery for a festive touch. I am on the look out for some myself this year.
The grape ivy is a beautiful plant. It looks amazing anywhere. I had it years ago in a macramé hanger in my kitchen window. 🪴🌱🪴I think you placed it in a beautiful location and looks stunning in that bowl ❣️
Honey that is a chamber pot for the bedroom.,,,, Not for the dining room.....But I would love it filled with a flowering plant. That kitchen window is MADE FOR HOUSEPLANTS!! Try flowering African Violets too.
Thanks for sharing the great finds! The plants are adorable! I agree the house plants brings life into a house. I too thought that was a chamber pot the moment I saw it. It's very pretty looks lovely as a planter.
My mom had a large laundry basket like that! She used it as a bed for my younger sister when she came home from the hospital. She was two months premature! ❤
I think her sweetness is the reason I watch her and I look for her first. I did a big AWWWW moment about the chamber pot. Too stinking cute. We love you girl!
The planter pot is definitely a “chamber pot”. I bought one that was very decorative and did not know that it was a ‘chamber pot’. I use it in the bathroom floor with a plant in it!😊
Loved the combination antique store and plants boutique. It was really charming . PS. I bought those faux paper whites at Home Depot that you told us about They look very realistic
Love, love your channel, your taste in decor is right up my alley. You might try a plant humidifier for your plants for winter. My house is full of plants, that's my jam, but they do struggle in winter
Hi Amy!I love you and your home! You have elegant taste!I love everything you purchased!!I love all the plants !!!The ones that always live for me are pothos!!! I like the solid ,green ones with smaller leaves!!!I always look forward to your videos!!!Have a great week!!!😁☕🍪❤⛄🏺
Amy that is actually a Chamber pot. Chamber pots were kept under the bed when not in use (for potty). I have a beautiful one that has pink roses on it. They can range in size as well as style; from the beautiful white one that you scored to the fancy decorated one that I have. I use mine as a planter as well with a faux fern.
Pretty sure that serving bowl is a chamber pot. Regardless it will make a lovely planter. I love the items in your haul today and you do such a lovely job of styling EVERYTHING ❤️
Love everything you purchased and how you styled them. Your home is lovely. I wanted to mention that it looks like your jar candle is sitting under the first shelf of your hutch? If so, have you looked to see if the flame has left scorch marks on the underside of the shelf? I know that can happen so just wanted to mention it😊
What a great video Amy, thank u for sharing, I love to go thrifting, antiquing, auctions, flea markets, yard sales, etc. one man’s junk is another man’s gold! All great finds, I went n checked out some places in our area as well, after Christmas sales, markdowns, clearance items etc. never know what u will find, sooooo FUN! Happy new year to u n yours n thank u for all that u do, enjoy! 😊❤️🎁💕⭐️
Love your choices as always. I was going to tell you about the chamber pot, but seen someone allready did. I think its beautiful as a plant pot & unless you are older no one will even know what it originally was. I love using things that where used in a different way in my home. Kinda a outvof the box thing.
Hi Amy ... Happy New Year....thanks for taking me along. I really enjoyed both stores. I love house plants also. You found some awesome finds... Good job. Blessings ❤️
You have such great luck at antique stores and thrift stores! I am going to give it a try! I love what you picked up ! I also love real plants! I do have goid luck with them! They are not only beautiful, they also are a great air filter!
My favorite houseplant is my philodendron, it was from where I had my children and they were in the arrangements I recycle. It is almost 30 years old. I started a cutting for each of my kids from it but they both killed them so I need to do it again.
Amy, your serving bowl is actually a chamber pot but that’s ok because people use them as flower pots now like you mentioned you’d like to do. I have a few I planted herbs in also.
Thank you for letting me know!! 😊
That made me smile
I signed in just so I could be sure to tell you to never use that pot for serving food! Ha ha I got a beautiful large chamber pot that looked like a cookie jar. Luckily, I found out from an ironstone Fb group what it actually was before I put anything in it! Beautiful finds today!

Amy, I'm pretty sure that iron stone pot is a chamber pot, often used at night rather than going outside to the outhouse! My grandparents used an outhouse up until the early 70s when they finally added a bathroom onto their house!
Yes, I was going to say the same. It's a chamber pot. Do use it as a planter, but not for serving, Amy!
That is a chamber pot but don’t let that deter you from using it as decor. I own three, and love them. They are versatile, and I think they are so beautiful. I had a few snickers in my family too but I don’t care. 😊
Amy your “serving” bowl is actually a chamber pot! 😂
Yes, indeed…….a chamber pot.
I remember using a chamber pot like that when I was little. When I saw it on the video, it brought back memories of my childhood
Loved today's video. I like that you shopped, showed your haul, and showed how you styled it all.
I really enjoyed this shopping at antique store and plant store. The ironstone is lovely. I love real plants and they do bring color and life to the winter months. Have a blessed day.
The twigs in the paper whites are there to help support them as they bloom and get top heavy. To keep them from falling over. I love all your plants!
Thanks for explaining that. I thought it was just decorative, and it does look so great, but that totally makes sense.
Thank you😊
I agree. The piece is a chamber pot. It’s quite charming with the plant in it!! Beautiful buys that will look wonderful in your home.

Amy, I think your ironstone "serving bowl" is actually a Chamber Pot. I gave one to my mom yrs. ago, only it had a lid.
My favorite houseplant is my philodendron, it was from where I had my children and they were in the arrangements I recycle. It is almost 30 years old. I started a cutting for each of my kids from it but they both killed them so I need to do it again.
