@@cintronproductions9430 actually compsognathus was the size of a chicken, not a small pigeon, Epidexipteryx was smaller than compsognathus Life lesson kiddo: never mess with the king of dinosaurs
I would like to know if the once popular image of the ostrich-like dinosaurs as egg-thieves is still valid, as I’ve not seen much of that viewpoint in pop culture anymore.
@@daizua123 I think ostrich dinosaurs had a similar diet to modern ratites, maybe they ate plants, leaves, fruit, seeds, small lizards and mammals, insects and sometimes eggs on rare occasions. Ostriches today eat all of these things.
@@daizua123 Yeah, that can be a possibility. I find it hard to believe that they wouldn’t have gone for some dinosaur omelette when the opportunity presented itself.
No. Pteranodon is a massive Cretaceous pterosaur with no teeth and a long crest. Pterodactylus is a tiny Jurassic pterosaur with teeth and a short crest. The confusion stems from the fact that the average uneducated Joe tends to refer to all pterosaurs as "pterodactyls", which is wrong.
Some of those are pretty obscure, but I can see him doing a Tsintaosaurus video, maybe he can talk about how people used to think its crest was, well, phallic in shape... XD
@@cintronproductions9430 Well, I did mean for the DeviantArt gallery, but yeah, that old crest sure was... a thing. Thank God for its appearance in Jurassic World Evolution, eh?
1:22 So uh, about that ostrich sound effect: In pretty much every video game, documentary and movie with ostriches in it, they always make this sound no matter their age. But when I search for ostrich sounds on RUclips, I mostly just find videos of them making this "boom boom" sound and not the cute bubbly chirp. So my question is: do adult ostriches make the bubbly chirp or just the chicks?
The one I used was from a video showing chicks. But we can't be 100% sure that this is what these dinosaurs sound like, so the roars in my videos are mostly speculation.
@@daizua123 Yeah, I know we don't know what any non-avian dinosaur really sounded like except maybe Parasaurolophus. I was just wondering if both adult and baby ostriches make the "bubbly chirp". In zoo games like Zoo Tycoon and Planet Zoo, and in movies and documentaries, ostriches always make the "bubbly chirp" even if they're adults, but when I search on RUclips for ostrich sounds only the babies seem to do it and the adults go "boom boom" instead. XD
If you are not trying to be 100% accurate then I understand you not doing this but maybe you should redraw some of the parts of the drawings to remove shrink wrapping, as in real life, when you can see the outline of the skull in an animal its most likely starving, or dead. Overall these are fun to watch and you Don't need to do this but just a suggestion, keep up the good work!
I appreciate you approaching me about this in a more civil manner. I am already considering a second version of Prehistoric World with more up-to-date designs.
Not sure on that. Corythosaurus probably had to contend with Albertosaurus and/or Gorgosaurus. Maybe Daspletosaurus too. But the duckbill that lived with T. rex was Edmontosaurus.
