Drive on high revs then swich engine off. Turbos are crying.
So, you are not supposed to turn off the engine immediately after high rev long drives? Why? Thanks!
@@amjathkhan2004 Turbos run at roughly twice the revs of the engine. When you turn off the ignition immediately after driving at high revs, oil is cut off to both the engine and turbos. Problem with that is the turbos may still be spooling down from high revs and can be starved of oil damaging the bearings within the turbo. Not going to cause an immediate problem but will if done repeatedly over time.
@@conordevery2306 Thank for answering, much appreciated. Is that same for all turbo engines or only the high boost ones? Also, can you please help with why people say the engine should let run for 5 mins in idle before turning it off after a long drive (like more than 200 miles)? Thanks again!!!
@@amjathkhan2004 In principle yes that applies to all turbocharged engines particularly the higher performance ones, it is less important with water cooled turbochargers but these are still not common on cars as far as im aware. I wouldn't agree with people who say you should let a car run for idle for five minutes especially after a long drive. You'll just be wasting fuel and it is actually bad for your engine to idle for extended periods as you won't be getting complete fuel combustion at idle as opposed to regular driving. The only reason I could think of where you would leave an engine idling for 5 minutes would be after a very short, slow drive in a diesel to protect the diesel particulate filter.

Remember when BMW used to put an M badge on a car, it meant something. Now literally all the models have some kind of M homologation on it just so it can sell 😔
Considering this is quicker than an e46 m3 I think it deserves one imo

Popper Channel merc do because they put AMG on their normal models. But Audi don’t, their top models are RS, but they put ‘S-line’ or their normal cars, not RS-line
stop driving around in sportsmode, all you can hear is the fake engine sound from the speakers and not the real sound from the engine🙄
Sportsmode is the only way to listen the real perfomance of the engine, where did you get that idea of fake sound?

Internet Explorer dumbass, that’s sound from the speakers, especially bmw is known for it that they use a soundtrack from a 6cylinder in the 4 cylinder models - you better do your research, every carreviewer can tell you this

for example they did it even on the outside of the i8 to hide that it has an 3 cylinder and audi on their S-diesel models so they don’t sound like a diesel
