I used argus before when I was still playing, he was my main hero, I always liked to experiment builds, I always picked attack speed with crit and along with malefic just like a marksman's build, and it is one of the main reasons why argus is a monster at late game, especially if he doesn't get stunned or controlled, he is a Melee marksman he could delete almost any opponent standing is his way and on top of that he's got an ultimate that literally prevents him from dying for about 4 seconds.
Just build critical with dhs , corrosion and despair and there u go attck speed + burst Argus I also go with standard Trinity build for enemy's high hp heroes
i mean his passive really depends on attack speed so you better use atk speed items for him or else you will not use his passive alot often. hell even in ult state his passive is made to be more easier to trigger so it only makes sense to play him as a fighter with atk speed build. but in the end just play the way you enjoy the most😂
I think i preferred full burst on argus, cause if you depend on attack speed, the enemy can easily get away, but if you burst them they will have no time to react

Still recommend Attack Speed Crit, his passive helps a lot melting heroes already so no need for Burst :) And the speed deals insane amount of damage already 1k damage and extra from crit and dhs

Argus has huge damage on his second skill before and i use burst damage build, until they nerfed the 2nd skill damage that make burst damage become less relevant
2024 here, I kinda hate, but like that they changes Haas to have the purple sword effect (and remove the item). Well, He granted a c.rate and lifesteal with that. But man, I hoped it could be stackable too.

Trinity build with malefic roar + 1 situational Item , It doesn't have to be BOD always like Sea halberd if enemy sustain is too high like Thamuz . Burst build is inefficient in most situation and definitely not effective in team fights if the enemy has a good tank or tanky core.
Always go full damage on Argus, he's so squishy so one or two defence item wouldn't matter unless it's immortality. The problem with Argus after the revamp is that he relied too much on his ult unlike back then when his second skill alone can deal up to 2k damage.

First it's argus 😂 second builds like this are based on enemy drafts, like if the enemy has too many tanky heroes then attack speed (trinity build) if the enemy is squishy then crit build. Damage is.... I don't think it works well nowadays. Well, you are free to try in classic.
@@ICE-KING-2Kind of but the problem with the crit build especially right now is it relies I think more on item like three or four to get the effects you want because crit chance threshold... is less than 50%... and the reason I said this currently because more hero right now are fast paced dmg dealer like they are lvl 1 or 2 but can deal already massive dmg and if this became snowball then the game will most likely end in less than 10mins.. so goodluck on waiting to build the other crit item... on the other hand the speed thing which favors the argus passive is also effective and you only need one or two like either dhs or corrison is your first item.. (except boots).. and the explanation for this is because enemy really want to run on argus when argus sees you first..(corrison) and for argus counter type like thamuz or yz the DHS combine with corrison or sea halberd is great..
I can't come up with a hero deals lots of dmg recently (if I find this only argus specific) like dyrooth, thamuz, yz.. yeah in lvl 1 you wouldn't win on that if you toe to toe.. correct me tho if this can be optimize with emblems...
Build corrosion scythe as your 4th or 3rd if you need atk speed. Atk speed leo is bad, cuz his base atk spd is very low, and his skills before his passive is applied is low, so the only atk speed item you can use is corrosion scythe as it gives extra dmg on. Basic atks. Don't worry , sea halbred getting new passive, which kinda is good for leomord.
