I really enjoy your MG 850MK III videos, the sound is great. I bought a similar one 1986 when they came out. The only difference myne had shorter handles, can't remember if it was a choice when ordered. It styeered very fast compared to any other bikes I had including BMW rides(The new flat 4 cyl then). I ridden an older model with lots of false neutrals, however with this one I had no such problems. Only problem I had was the clutch plate failed. THey send an upgraded version very expensive.....with ver narrow contact areas. It did not last long the rivets came loose. I then follow advice and got a small car clutch plate linings modified and fitted (cheap) and no problems. I replaced the clutch in this way 5 times over life of motorcycle. I sold it a few years back to a friend, it was really hard on my back due to bumpy roads. The sound brought memories....Have a good day.
I honor your motorcycle life. My Moto Guzzi is running well. But I feel nowadays that it is too heavy for me, an old man. How many years can I get on……
Hi, I noticed you have better shocks than myne. When I bought myne I was living in good weather and nice tar roads. Where I live later was windy most of the time and few good tar roads, so the roads was just getting too much for me from the rear suspesion. Now that I heard yours, I am not sure I did the right thing. I had Zuzuki's before and with it. For what its worth myne also has straight spokes in the wheels, which everybody was surpriced to see I rember. For me it is still one most beatifull bike parked/look at it a certain way like you did. I was surprised to see one in Japan.
When I bought this bike, it already had the current rear shock and exhaust system (Ohlins and Rennsport 2-1-2). That is five years ago. The handlebars were replaced by my choice. Because when I was riding for a long time, I had a difficult posture. I met a good mechanic in my town. Thanks to that, I was able to make my bike run well.
I used to own both a Mark 1 and a Mark 111 Le Mans both had Lafranconi Comp exhausts ... OMG I enjoyed that so much thanks for posting
The exhaust sound of Moto Guzzi feels good. I'm glad you enjoyed this video.
