Thank you for your reaction to this song I truly loved it. You also have a very beautiful voice.wouldn’t it be great if Dimash and Komi Tamaki could get togeather to sing this song. Thanks again and stay safe.
I am very happy to have picked up Koji Takaki! I love he's voice because it's a very sad and emotional voice! A voice that resonates with the soul. I want to listen to other songs more and more!
Koji interpretation is great. the subtlness and restrain of emotion express is more hurting than you voice out loud. its like your heart is aching a bit here and there when being nostrlgic but try to keep control. Dimash intrpretation is what reflect his age just like Koji, when you get old, you try be buried the sorrow but it still come out from time to time to haunt.
I love Tamaki's version but I dont agree with the attempt to diminish the quality of Dimash's treatment of the song. At 22 when he first sang the Chinese version, in 2017, he already showed a maturity of voice and personality beyond many singers his age.Watch Singer 2017, ppl in the audience were very clearly moved bc he skilfully matched the control, restraint and tonal quality and colors in his voice to portray the sad parts of the lyrics and releasing to full voice where the lyrics demanded. Dimash studies every song he performs to make sure he tells the story behind it and that he gives the correct interpretation. Apparently this rendition exceeded the original Chinese singer's version, it was also awarded for best classical song. That said, Tamaki's version is equally exquisite in his style, I have it on my playlist next to Dimash's version bc they are both good.
@@shrekswife2164 Dimash is a very modest guy. But several Dimash's fans are quite arrogant. You are one of them. Dimash respects Koji Tamaki deeply, he said it in a TV program. Both renditions by Koji and Dimash are great.
@@fumin8 So, by your logic, Dimash fans like me don't know who his favourite artists are, or that he and Koji have mutual respect for each other, even had a virtual conversation posted all over the internet, or that he's very modest, respectful, charitable, and a big warm hearted humble human being? Who appointed you judge of my character when you know zip about me? You got triggered over a faux pas which I apologised for and now accuse me of arrogance based on your judgement of my opinion? But for the mention of the Chinese original version (which in a sense was fair since the Chinese version from what I know is an original translation of KJ's original composition). No one else to my knowledge has sung Ikanaide in another language other than Chinese which renders it an original in that language. It seems though that my apology was not enough for you, you need your pound of flesh too? How sad for you. My post was in earnest and not to diminish Koji's rendition bc like all great artists, he deserves my respect.
This song is the ending theme song for drama "Sayonara Ri Kou Ran (Goodbye LiXiangLan)" (1989) ruclips.net/video/zgpsbMClvMA/видео.html Koji Tamaki's song starts @4:54 in that video...
Original studio version fits as a tv film track with Tamaki's clean voice, but it's live performance where he lets loose and let all emotions out. The original lyrics kind of imply losing the loved one for eternity. It could've been about lovers separated forcefully in one way or another, but this song was written for "Sayonara Ri Kouran", all I know about this Tv film is that the main character is a Japanese actress born in Manchurian China and became a movie star / singer under Chinese name, she eventually was deported after the war. Keeping this context in mind, this song can be interpreted as the song about losing someone you love over war/death. FYI, Ikanaide has two meaning "don't go" and "don't die" and judging from Tamaki's recent performances the meaning is leaning more towards "don't die". Dimash's latest recording in Japanese is the most majestic one I've ever heard. The interpretation is very different as well as vocal/storytelling approach but he's fantastic.
IKANAIDE=Don't Leave. This song's words are very simple but describe Yoshiko Yamaguchi's ( Chinese born Japanese actress who deported to Japan after the WW2) emotions and sadness toward leaving from China. Koji sang this song when Yoshiko was still alive and made her cry. Thanks for the great reaction.
All other reactors to this song always do the live version from 2017-ish. I personally prefer the studio version as it has a beauuuutiful string arrangement that makes the song so much better. The string arrangment isnt really justified in the live version imo.

Joe Hisaishi might be the Japanese composer you talked about. For films of Miyazaki like 'Nausiccaa', 'Laputa', 'Totoro', etc. For films of Kitano like 'Sonatine', 'Hana-bi', 'Brother', etc. And also music for cello of 'Departures'.

a beautiful singer . I found the lyrics to be completely different it's shocking really only the tune seems to stay the same but they do both deal with heartbreak. I have not heard this one before I heard the more recent one and it is so raw I don't think I want to see it again... it really just broke me
