For the curious: the deal eventually fell through. An unnamed 3rd party came along to invest £1m in the company, which would have meant that the Dragons would receive much less equity stake. The two dragons eventually realised this wasn't what they wanted and pulled out, but they appear to have remained on pretty good terms.

I swear after every single episode of this with a deal gone through nearly 99 percent have fallen through once i read the comments.
Kinda makes me think it’s not worth watching this show anymore because even when a deal is struck 9 times out of 10 behind the scenes or after the show the deal doesn’t even come to light !
That's a shame, especially missing out on all the experience those dragons would have had.
@@dangray25 I love hearing the questions the dragons ask, it's wonderful to see how successful people dissect a company. On top of that, the dragons are the pinnacle of sophisticated investors, so they're only gonna go for the very best investments...I have a small business, and nothing comes close to the wisdom I've gained from DD... This app is dead. It has a 1.9 rating in the Google Play store. Also, the developer (s) haven't responded to comments since 2015/2016. In addition to that, the last update was in February 2020 as one reviewer cited. Finally, people said that the app was both dead and not many people were on it.

Deal didn’t go through. Anonymous investor offered 1 million. Luck would have it, even that deal didn’t go through as the anonymous investor also pulled out. Eventually M14 got crowd funded for a $100,000. Then in 2016 M14 bought the dating app Double. Double was Pete Jenkins investment from a previous dragons den deal. My thinking is Peter may have called the unnamed investor that’s why the deal fell and then Pete uses that opportunity to sell his dating app to M14. It’s all in the name of business 👩💼

So it turns out this guy got more investors who valued him far higher than Peter and Nick did so they ended up not making a deal. But article says they all agreed it was in the best interest of all parties involved

Possible, but unlikely - production companies don't like viewers seeing 'behind the curtain' as it can break the 'magic of TV' effect and could also be dull to watch/frustrating. Typically, many hours of raw footage gets edited down to minutes and has little time to 'tell a story'. Still, would be fairly interesting to some, I get it!
