Hi. I've been facing this problem of considerable pain in my right shoulder muscles (daya) when I'm playing for like fifteen or twenty minutes straight. Do you have any advice for this?
There can be a variety of reasons, so you will have to isolate the root cause. Are your shoulders already sore in your day to day life? Due to weight training etc. Or it's only when you practice anything in tabla or is it only when you play the tirikita practice phrases? If it's related to tabla alone, then you may have to look at your posture. If you recently started the practice phrases, some discomfort is expected. Other issue can be there you are trying to play too loud.
Interesting question. My own wrist flexibility is pretty low, so I am no expert in this. However, if you are ready for the grind, try Tuna na tuna na tuna , tuna na tuna na tuna. Your attempt should be to increase the speed as much as possible. There can be many like this, but this is a start.

laya ka classification - vilambit, Madhya aur druta. vilambit is slow speed, Madhya medium and druta is fast. How fast ? it depends. I will create a separate video to go into the details.

Dhere dhere is very important for getting wrist flexible and also Dhene Ghene. Which is a superb tool to flex the hand to its full band

Dhir dhire kayeda is key to improve the wrist flexibility. Try once for 10 days continuously, you feel result.

Yes, especially for beginners. Even for intermediate players this happens when trying to push the speed a notch further.
