Just to let Goher Sir know that my Musical Journey started by listening to JAL.. 'Aadat' and 'Wo Lamhe' were the songs which I first practiced on guitar and whenever I play these songs it's impact on my listeners is the same which was 20 years back.. A BIG SALUTE to GOHER MUMTAZ Sir..!!

Goher sounds very bitter about Farhan leaving Jal Band, but Farhan has always been very positive about his time with Jal Band and never said anything negative about Mumtaz Goher. Just goes to show that Farhan Saeed is a perfect gentleman and without a doubt a more generous and a bigger person. And in my opinion Farhan Saeed is definitely a better singer and most certainly a better actor than Mumtaz Goher.

Maybe Goher is bitter because he put a lot of trust belief & effort on Farhan as vocalist of JAL post Atif Aslam leaving. In fact Farhan initially became famous and made a name himself from JAL only. Infact after Farhan left then Shazi (Bassist) also left which left Goher as the only original member.
I wont comment on what went wrong among Gohar, Atif nd Farhan but one thing I want to say is that Gohar is an underrated gem....he never got the recognition which he deserved for coming up with songs like Addat , dil haray...... even his latest tunes have the same Vibes as Jals old songs.
Sir, no doubt u r the founder of band Jal at the young age of 17 yrs. It is a great achievement writing songs, compiling music with the expertise of guitar playing n of course singing melodious songs. Then came Atif to joined the band. Don't want to go into details why did he quit after a short time. V may now talk about Farhan who replaced Atif. U said u did a lot of work to up grade n polish his singing capability. Also people did want to accept him as a singer. Sir, Farhan is a lot better singer than Atif n urs' voice is too mellow. Farhans' soulful vocal cords could carry the rythm to the last extent of high note . He is born singer gifted n such artists don't need polishing or training. Sure both of u help each other grooming the art of singing. He stayed with band almost 10 yrs which is enough for a young man then embarking to try other avenues of performing arts. It is natural to try other areas, such as acting, dancing or composing n he opted to quit the band n went solo make his own identity. Nothing is wrong to change from one path to another. The bottom line is that sure u registered him in the band, yet whatever he became now r all his hard work, his ambition, passion his love for music. Yes u showed him the path, traveling to the path, he achieved his goal to become a symbol of being a great artist with his own efforts n resilience. Nothing personal to any one, just impartial reference

Impartial in a sense, how many people like his music. If v conduct a research, comparative study, sure the questionnaire would be filled with postive reply towards Farhan. In performing arts exact conclusion can't be achieved as it is not a mathematical research. Hence one could reach the conclusion almost to the nearest hypothesis confirming the theory applied to the comparative study. One can't be biased. Therefore taking into consideration the facts n criteria used to compare between the two artists, such as soulfulness, short or long rythmic tune, exploring the power of vocal cords, assimilation of one tune to another, depth of the tempo etc, one could draw the conclusion in the favor of Farhan. It is not question of being a fan or not being a fan, it all about the quality of music that the artist could come up with.

Does anybody know that Atif and Gohar were the orignal jal band. They made their first song Aadat together which was sung by Atif. Later on farhan joined the band gohar and farhan conspired against Atif and made him leave the end so that they both can have all the fame, and after that we all saw what happened, ATIF ASLAM is a legend now and farhan ditched gohar and jal band and now people barely even know them.

Both are superstars, when atif & farhan both separated from Gohar then they reached the height of fame, farhan tried his acting skill as well and get success. Goher you were my first musical idol, but for the love of God, have some humility! You are sounding too arrogant bashing Atif and Farhan at the same time. They both have been far more successful than you and your musical journey is almost finished. The kind of songs you are coming up with are abhorrent and cringeworthy. I can't even believe it whenever I listen to your new songs. There is ZERO creativity and ZERO growth as a musician. As you said yourself in this interview "Content Acha Hona Chahye" but your content has been garbage lately and the number of views against those songs has been a clear indication. Having some respect for your fellow artists and a little self-introspection would only take you far. Your average fans would not say that to you but since I have been an avid follower and fan of your music, I can't say anything else but the truth to you because I grew up idolizing JAL! For it never mattered who was the vocalist, what mattered to me was that you were there as a musician. Don't become a lost cause!
