I want to thank you for this sacred work of art. During my hospitalization it was a mantra relieving my pain. I breathed in every single note of it. This song is the soundtrack of my life.
The greatest inspiration of my life. The album division bell, along with other songs played by these amazing artist, were the backing music I requested and brought with me to my brain surgery for aneurisms that had exploded deep within my brain. Division bell, came first the poetical phrases had carried me up to this point of my nostalgia, along with some of Davids 1978 release, and some amazing pieces from the final cut, and two shifts of surgeon's listened for more than 20hrs, and mental as I was! I survived what was described as running down a railroad track and running head on into a speeding train.but I came out of ICU Singing along with my doctors and nurses running into the brain unit, I got up the third day, gave myself a bath, half paralysed, blind in one eye,I ask! when can I go home, split from front to back and one side I was released in 8 days total, road home in the bed of a pickup truck for 3 hrs, to my home, and this music still fills my life and of my children and my grandchildren.
Pure poetry, my guy 😌 What a wild ride it must have been for you to be as close to deaths door as you were and then to have fully come back to life, and to have this constantly humming in the back of your mind on that trip is nothing short of bliss 😌🥰🤙
Glad you made it thru! With some helpful inspiration from those masterful musicians of the one and only, Pink Floyd. Especially the emotion evoking guitarwork of the Grandmaster of that instrument, Mr. David Jon Gilmour!
This song won the Grammy Award for Rock Instrumental of the Year and to this day has NEVER been topped by anyone for a Rock Instrumental song!!! PROVE ME WRONG!!!
I just got the nerve to learn this epic song Still working on it but it’s sure a feel high kinda song puts you on a total different level when you play each note. Especially as the song emerges from slow to steady high. Thank you Mr Gilmore
David Gilmour is my personal favorite guitarist of all time. He and Robin Trower are the two main reasons I took up guitar. Steve Vai is faster. Robert Johnson is cleaner. Tony Iommi is heavier. Eddie VH may have innovated this and that. But no one plays like this.
Europa is pretty kick ass too. Santana's use of sustain is legendary, but I prefer the effortless style of David's. His playing is sublime and almost ethereal.
I dont get to explain myself why Rick Wright didnt partecipate, at least while playing this song that after all he co-wrote together Gilmour. It's a mistery and above all a pity. Boh
خیلی خوشحالم از اینکه در دوره ای به دنیا اومدم که بیننده و شنونده این نتهای آسمانی این بزرگمرد هستم.زنده باد دیوید گیلمور بزرگ❤👍💪❤️
This is the only man i worship......he has healed a lot of persons for sure with his guitar and vocals..
I personally know one of his biggest devotee ..
Truer words were never spoken.
I say the same thing about Roger Hodgson.

If one day whales were to hear this song, they would sing it back. Simple as that.
Europa is pretty kick ass too. Santana's use of sustain is legendary, but I prefer the effortless style of David's. His playing is sublime and almost ethereal.
