Oliver and Company is one of my favorites! I know it's unpopular and not really Disney's best movie, but the story is so good and the music is so catchy. And who doesn't love Dodger? 😜

Emily Chesteen it’s one of my favourite Disney movies but it is underrated but I consider it a cult classic
This is my favorite underrated Disney movie! I always loved the opening and the opening song. Also, the musical montage when Penny officially adopts Oliver and takes him to the part. UGH SO GOOD.
It's actuall Jenny. You're confusing names with The Rescuers.

Oliver and Campany is my absolute favorite Disney movie. I love Oliver. I like both cats and dogs but I'm more of a cat person. My mom told me that when I was little I never leave home without my Oliver doll. One thing I remembered doing with my Oliver doll I have is whenever I go to grandparents house, I pretend to to be Jenny with my Oliver doll. My grandparents has an old piano that I pretend to play like the movie. Plus I got this awesome picture that was made for me (I think, it has my name on it) of Oliver, when I went to Disney World the first time. I proberly watch the movie a thousands times when I was little, so thanks for doing Oliver and Campany this month,

I am a huge Billy Joel fan and to have a Disney Animated film with him playing an integral character makes me happy. Thanks for giving Oliver and Company a shout out it deserves!

I absolutely love Billy Joel and "Why Should I Worry?" is basically one of my favorite songs of his (being a Disney song really helps)!

Oliver and Company is one of my favorrritteee Disney movies since I was a kid. Billy Joel in it makes it 10x better (he's just so sacred to New Yorkers)
I'm interested in knowing the "disness" of Meet the Robinsons. I know it's not animated but I love how they use one of Walt's quotes to make the film.
The Genesis Journey technically it is animated just in cg
... But it is animated... The only non-animated thing in the movie was a picture of Tom Sellic. (I know I spelled it wrong)

That scene at the start where he doesn't get adopted hurts my heart every time. I've a soft spot for this movie definitely. Good to know it influenced the Disney renaissance ☺

I think Oliver & Company is underappreciated. It was one of my favorite Disney movies as a kid and still is today. I love the song "Why Should I Worry".
This movie is super nostalgic for me, and I've loved it ever since I was a kid :) I remember learning to play Good Company on the piano, too!

Sadly the music is probably why a lot of people even know about Oliver and Company. It's a decent movie, but compared to what Disney would do, it's unfortunately easy to glance over. Btw isn't this the first Disney movie to be set in its time?
No, 101 dalmatians was the first movie to be set in its time (around the early 1960s)
Yessss I was so excited to see that you posted this! I think Oliver and Company might be (one of) my most-watched Disney movies ever. I loved it as a kid, I still love it now. Why Should I Worry is suuuuch a good song and the opening song always makes me cry. Also, I'm from the Netherlands and the Why Should I Worry song is, in my opinion, one of the best translated Disney songs ever. It's worth to listen to it even if you can't understand the language!
I know you focus on animated movies for Down to Disness, but it would be cool to hear about some live action disney movies, like Pirates of the Caribbean or The Princess Diaries. Love this series by the way, I look forward to it every month!
Oliver and Company holds a special place in my heart because it's the first movie I ever saw in a theater. (I was 3.) It was followed soon after by The Land Before Time, BUT it was first for me!
This was the Movie my daughter first Fell in Love with!!! The little girl, her little kitty!!!

Oliver & Company is still my favourite Disney movie of all time, Dodger being my favourite Disney character everrrrrr! I dont think the movie gets enough love at all! which is strange as so many people seem to love Disney animal based movies? thankyou so much Sarah for the informative vlog, cant wait to see more :-)

It's also very nice seeing all the love for this movie in the comments. Me and my friends are actually currently working on a fan made web series that will be a continuation from the movie (and by working on I mean we finished all the scripts yesterday and are currently working through the story boards for the first 10 episodes out of a planned 36). So yeah, I really like this movie.

Have you looked at The Black Cauldron? I liked it, from what I remember it's a bit dark.

I love Oliver and Company, I wish they would have gone even darker, but even as a Disney film, it is a tad on the dark side. Great Score and good memories.

I learned a LOT from this video! Loved it! Ive been begging for bedknobs and broomsticks. I know it's not fully animated but like Pete's Dragon 🐉 it's one of my absolute favorites that not many people know about or remember! I've been tempted to do research on it myself, but I've been holding back because I know you'll find out ALL the good stuff. I'm am fascinated by the time period of the movie!
Of the transistion era, this is one of the films I enjoyed. Only Great Mouse Detective ranks higher for me because I love their take on Holmes and the addition of Vincent Price voicing Ratigan. I even went to WDW for the first time that year. The Magic Kingdom had a special float for the movie that ran the enitire parade route before the rest of the floats started.
Another very good show. These are always excellent.

Oliver and Company, strangely enough, was actually one of my favorite movies growing up for some reason. The same way that kids had lines from Aladdin memorized, I knew what Dodger and Oliver were gonna say before they said it 😅😅

Oliver and Company was one of my first favorite Disney movies. It is great and doesn't get enough credit for just being a good movie! Suggestion... idk if you've done Princess and the Frog yet... but that might be a good one to do.
