PERFECT timing 👏🏾. I recently purchased 2 luxury bags and struggled with some guilt. I had saved for theses bags for the last 10 years and had the money to buy over 5 years ago but didn’t want to spend it 😂. The number of price increases during this time crazy. I am about to go into a strict money lockdown due to projects etc so I decided to pull the plug. Now with a recession looming I began doubting if it was wise. After 2 weeks I feel much better about it 😊

I have the fear of missing out on good deals so need to cut back. I'm OK financially but I want to be even better with my finances. I'm torn between guilt and reckless spending.

I unsubscribed from retailer’s emails to not be constantly tempted to buy.

I am a reckless spender. I buy so impulsively 😭😭😭. I am so happy I don't get into debt but it still isn't helpful. I have no debt at all but I just shop til I don't have money. Then when the money is all gone, I realize there are so many things I just didn't do that I could have. The following month the cycle continues.

Thank you Bola for this video. There was a lot of reckless spending in my family when I was growing up and in adult life it turned into spending guilt for me. Thank you for the tips on how to tackle these, I can now adress this imbalance. 🙂

I'm reckless and I need help. But I don't know where to go for counseling. Does anyone specialize in that area?

I’ve been practicing mindfulness when spending. I have a category called shopping and I slowly save money in this category and watch it grow and to me this is very satisfying because I’m saving and not just spending randomly. I make a list for things that I want and practice being patient and not buying something right away. I give myself time to truly think about what I want/need while still saving slowly for that goal.
