He’s a silly little guy who has a tragic past of being consistently exploited as a child and in turn hurt many people with the things he was made to think and clearly regrets his past. With the harsh death of his first friend and their wish, he tries really hard to do good and has clearly tried and has changed for the better.

@@Satan_Alt bro i HAVE read no longer human, and it just makes me sympathize with dazai more😭 im convinced u didnt read it clearly, if it makes u think dazai or Oba are psychotic. Oba is scared of 'humans' and excludes himself from them, and does his best to be as inofensive as possible. He finds a passion in which is family doesnt agree, and in the city he had the misfortune of meeting Horiki which caused him to gain many terrible habits
Ofc i know that hes not a good person, but its strait up wrong to just ignore all his efforts in doing good and helping others, and he really isnt psychotic. Does he by default manipulates people for whatever his main goal is?
Yes. But its so blatently obvious that despite everything he is still trying, and for that i thinks its a horrible mischaracterization to just lable him as a psychopath
Like in the recent chapters, he and Sigma were in a deathly situation and despite the fact that he could use Sigma to escape it rather easily, he didnt. Instead he sacrificed himself for him and suffered great injuries.
So i stand by my case that hes a silly little guy whos gone through oh so much and needs hugs and kisses (and prolly therapy💀)

I read No Longer Human and it made me look at Dazai in a...... Different light. I understand him but i have no idea how to describe it in words or even him.
He *is* a broken character that DEFINITELY needs a therapy and im pretty sure he wasnt hugged in a *long* time
He *really* tries to be a better person for Oda (the example is how he 'takes care' of Atsushi or how he 'sacrificed' himself for Sigma)
His point of view and characteristics are so fucking hard to pin point and understand that so many people mischaracterize him so often
I too get sometimes few things wrong about him
Hes an *amazing* character but like the plot of BSD his character basically cannot be just summarized into few words and hes so hard to understand and navigate in
Bsd goes *deeply* into psychology and despite being seemingly half wholesome, especially after and during season 4 it gets fucking DARK

Well, we can't really say, if nightmare could behead Shoto (not talking about manga Shoto). Maybe it's just Sans was trying to protect him, without knowing what exactly he could do? Either way, I can't be too sure about a powered up Nightmare (via negative feelings). Nightmare would't even bat an eye at Alastor, he can just be careful, maybe, but qt the same time, he would be interested a bit (if Alastor still has feelings like a normal human/monster does). Also, what exactly you prefer to think about Murder (Dust), Horror and Killer? Alternative timelines or universe's?
