I know people do what's comfortable, and as if we won't understand what is being said, why do english speaking talks start with something uncomfortably incomprehensible?
It's the standard intro to any Theravada dharma talk; it's a Pali chant "namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammāsambuddhassa" and means "Honour to the Blessed One, the Exalted One, the fully Enlightened One". After that he says "Buddhang dharmang sanghang namasami" which means roughly "We take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha".
This talk really touched me.
