Materials and tools you'll need to make your Ribbon.

4. 12 - 14 feet of 1 1/2 inch satin ribbon amzn.to/3QevtgS
5. Decorative washi tape amzn.to/3ScoCqW
6. Glue amzn.to/3QwWqy3
7. Ruler (to measure your dowel) amzn.to/46Z2HbD
8. Small wood saw (to cut our dowel) amzn.to/3MfOxdy
9. Lighter to seal the ends of your ribbon amzn.to/3ygUJxM
10. Craft pliers/jewelry pliers amzn.to/3rYIZxp
11. Piercing tool or a pointy knife amzn.to/3FwQLSc
12. Needle and thread the color of your ribbon
13. Some serious dance MOVES! haha

When I was a child, my neighbor and I used to make these. They’re so much fun. The swivel will make a wonderful difference to keep the ribbon from winding around the dowel.

We have a local drumming flow creativity meet up weekly, i have one ribbon stick i bring to share and the kids love them. I want to give them more and hopefully some neutral colours, i domt have the money to buy a good few professional ones and looking at how to make them affordable, your video has been a big help all round 💜

Absolutely!!! I actually made a bunch of these as give aways for my child's birthday party and they were such a huge hit!!! The kids played with them all afternoon and then took them home! It's an awesome way to use up loads of Ribbon for sure! 😍❤️

I’d like to make this using 3 strands of ribbon (1 wide and 2 thin). Would you suggest sewing them all together at the same time or individually?
Hi there. What a wonderful idea. I would definitely sew them together at the top to ensure they move all together at the same time. I would think sewing it separately would also look a bit to bulky at the top! Let me know how I turns out. 💜

How long should the ribbon be? In comparison to the person using it? Is there a standard size that works best?
Hi there! My ribbon was 12 feet long and I'm 5'8" and my kids use it quite confortably also. You can truly make it as long as you want to but I find 12 feet/4m to be a great length. ❤️❤️

My screw was surely a bit smaller than that. Maybe 1/2 or 3/4 inch. I will have to measure it and get back to you.

What size fishing swivel do you use?
I'm not certain how they size these but the full length of mine was 2 inches.
