It’s crazy how what I remember most is the music at the very end. I used speed it up & slow it down all the time. I loved it for some reason. I loved these records!!
I hadn't thought of this story in decades...and listening to it now I vividly recalled listening to it repeatedly back in the late '70s/early '80s. But it wasn't until just a moment ago I _finally_ realized that Lois's closing line in the story, "Blny!" was actually her saying "Baloney!" to Clark's alibi. That only took about 40 years to figure out!
Had this and a Wonder Woman one too. Oh and a bionic woman one! Gotta love the 70s! I can’t believe how much of the dialogue I can still remember word for word!
I listened to this story over and over as the A side of a different LP , with "Alien Creatures" ("It's hailing silver bullets!") as the B side.....and then years later, I found out that this record was pretty much the only instance of any adaptation pronouncing Mxy's name as "Mix-pit- ulk". Threw me off as a comics fan to get used to Superman: The Animated Series and Gilbert Gottfried saying "Mix-yix-pit-lik".
I used to have this as a kid in the late 70s. For years I used to pronounce Myxzptlk’s name like it’s said here. Then I noticed that many people pronounced it a different way. Everyone would say Mix-l-plik. I would say Mix-p-tolk. LOL
Yes! I had this 30 years ago as a kid too! Listened to it all the time and all the other old records in my Mom's collection including the Neil Diamond! Loved Mxyzptlk's trippy ways of messing with reality and his Chaos factor as foil to Superman's Super Correctness. This was like an old radio show or something. Thanks for the post.
I had this record as a child. Haven't heard this in years.
I had this record as a kid, and only had vague memories of it until the power of RUclips brought me back 30+ years!
Had this when I was a kid. Used to listen to it all the time
