Im 34 and still play this original version on my ps2 silver slim. To this day. Never giving it up. Been playing this for around 20 years now. Only the original ps2 version. Only version that matters. No fancy remake is necessary. The original is all i will ever want. Ps2 for life. And i obviously mean that since i have been using a ps2 consistently for decades now. Im only listening to the loop on RUclips because i keep my ps2 in my living room and like to fall asleep to this. You know back in the day the world was so much nicer. I miss it. I can recall when this game amongst many others had launched i was there at launch day and i remember it well. What a peaceful track.

Are you telling me that during an apocalypse if you were being chased by monsters you wouldn’t be relieved if you made it to an area that you KNOW for a FACT they couldn’t get to you?
Once, after I moved out, I missed a flight to see my parents and felt panicked and terrible about it. My friend brought me this game to play and take my mind off it. It's impossible not to feel at peace listening to this. Even if you know out that door zombies are everywhere, Wesker is lurking, and Steve is doing god knows what, you know it'll somehow all be okay in the end.

I agree. This is technically RE3. The other was more of a side game of RE2 than an actual sequel. They should have called it RE: Nemesis, and this RE3: Code Veronica. Just my opinion.
@@DBarns7I think that was the plan but there was an issue with a deal that meant main entry titles like 1,2,3 etc had to be released so they changed RE 3 to Cofe Veronica so it didn’t have a number at the end (3)

This, the classic series, 1st Remake, and RE4s save room are the best in the series imo. Out of the ones I brought up, CV comes out on top. No amount of nostalgia can affect me more than this save room theme

Just started playing this and the controls and how you have to hold items and store them was about to give me a heart attack. So hearing this when i got to a save room always was so relaxing
It was a Dreamcast exclusive. I got the Dreamcast just bcuz the new Resi game was only going to be released on it. Less than a year later it was on Ps 2 & GameCube 😂
Code Veronica was not the hardest Resident Evil, it was Outbreak 1 and 2 hands down, because it had Very Hard and Nightmare. For those saying Code Veronica is hard.... - learn to dodge - pick areas to run through that don't have enemies - you can take more hits in this game than any other without dipping into orange caution or danger

Focus on the violin-ish sounding part, removing the piano and the xylophone... OMG, it reminds me of when I first used FL Studio, not knowing anything apart from the basics, no modulation, no fades, no decays or blends or anything... This sound track and other sound tracks feels like it was made using a very early version of FL Studio... not saying they are bad, but if you know what to listen for, you can see an amateur element to these sound tracks.
Help…..this reminded me of when I was happy….and with my beautiful blonde gf in a dark room playing this and we did re 4 together!!! I couldn’t even play it. I thought the gane was dead and in my memories. Than 4 came out of meta quest and I couldn’t even play it…I was balling my eyes out like a little girl….I was happy. Im not one of those people who come to sites and talks like this. People always do that. But this is hardcore sad. Couldn’t even play it
The last true RE Game.... before RE4 change it... then RE7 change it again. I stoped playing after 6. 5 was a bit of let down. 6 was little bit better then 5, at least 6 brought back ZOMBIES to the series.

Serenity from RE 4 is the best for me
"A Safe Haven" from RE1 REmake is my favorite but this a close 2nd.
