Cool concept. I'm a big proponent of improvised weaponry. The coffee cup example is one I use all the time. Especially when it's my week on church security duty. Along with my cane, I always have a fresh hot coffee in hand. Just in case.
Nice ninja effect- but you'll need to stock up on rubber caps-- because that will wear a hole right in the center of them quickly with that opening... :) (not a drawback- just something to think about) and in some areas that would be considered WEAPONIZED and might cause legal issues. (some areas are very picky with ANY additions) But then, SOME areas the "decorations" on your normal canes would be considered weaponized too- especially with some "certain" cops with attitudes toward anything that is an advantage. (some are so goofy they might think there is a gun barrell hidden in it..
