I like how GH showed anyone can be raped that even men can be raped. I know that rape is terrible and women are most likely to get raped. But I respect how GH showed that even men can be raped as well. I hope I didn't disrespect anyone.
Kenroy Cherrington but men do get raped and some don't even know that, that can happen. rape is rape doesn't matter what someone calls it forcing yourself on to someone without their consent is rape.
I think it's less rare than you think. Few people want to admit they were raped. A lot goes unreported. Women can rape men. It's stupid in this day and age to think that men can't get raped. And all the doubting of rape survivors. But ignorance is rampant in our society. Shows like this can show people the truth through stories and the suffering in the aftermath.
my heart literally dropped when michael told jason that he was raped. i had a ball in my throat through that scene. but when michael cried and i saw jason's face.. it was over. i cried. and im not a crier. standing ovation goes out to the actors who play abby, michael, and jason. and thanks to the gh writers for writing a storyline about this topic.
Sadly most men have lost their virginities as little boys to older girls or women. Most dont realise or accept it as abuse but it was n damages their futur relationships @@trinitylivingston1286
God, Jason is so much more of a father to Michael than Sonny ever has been or ever will be. Jason is who Michael goes to, who he tells important stuff to, who really puts his needs ahead of his own. Sonny could learn a lot from Jason on how to be a father.
This was one of the storylines that kept me hooked on the series. (Previously it was about Jason and the accident caused by AJ), Michael with a heavy story to tell ... Even though I'm a 30 year old man this storyline always brings tears to my eyes! Seeing Jason realizing what happened to Michael, a person he has known all along ... well he hits like an arrow straight to the heart ... Jason is not only Michael's uncle, he's also a father figure, his best friend. .. he is practically the one who made Michael a better person during the journey they had together.
The music paused, right before he said he was raped, and it made my heart skip a beat! Everyone knew what happened but I never anticipated the reality of him saying the actual words!! Either way Chad is amazing
to confess to some thing like that was not easy for Michael I could see that he was struggling to to tell Jason that doesn't make him any less of a man it makes him even more of man and a strong person because confessed
I think most of us knew back when Michael was in prison that this had happened to him. Huge kudos to GH for taking their time, establishing the shame and fear that rape victims experience. And ENORMOUS kudos to Chad Duell. His confession scene was beautifully acted.
Heartbreaking scenes!!! I think Chad Andrea and Steve all deserve Emmy for this!!! I feel so bad for Michael he is just a kid!!! seeing Jason's face broke me
Wow this man should've transitioned onto the big screen. To act out such a horrible confession as a MAN at that level is beyond amazing. Please everybody don't take that wrong at all when I say that 🙏🏽, rape is atrocious to anyone it happens to no matter the gender. But this type of confession as a man isn't out there in real life like that let alone anywhere on television. Having had stood in Dantes shoes before I will always cry for many reasons when I see this episode. I relive that moment and always wonder if I was lied to and I break for that person I know then I always wonder how being a "Jason" in that time would've felt . And that's where I conclude, Jason's performance simply because of Michael's performance probably wasn't even acting that man broke inside FOR REAL! Bravo for this episode from the acting to the awareness it raises on both ends 👏🏽
This story line was one of the best for GH. The acting was on point given the realtionship of the two characters in the story . I was never able to follow this story through to the end. I wonder if Michaels attacker was dealt with and if Abby had been raped and denied it because she could not mentally admit to being raped. I hope this helps victims, especially males, as well as females, get the help they deserve and need to deal with this type of trama, for sure.
i had a hard time trying to shake this scene off...it was awesome intense and so surreal. and i'm so glad jason was the one he confessed too first, in my eyes jason will always be his father and i'm thrilled they are finally letting them bond. they were both outstanding....
Chad Duell should've won an Emmy for this story. He got one in 2015. Unfortunately, after that, the current GH writers have just wasted his potential. I hope he gets better storylines soon.
No matter how many times I've seen or watch this episode I always find myself coming back to this was pretty hard to watch Michael confess to Jason what happened to him in prison and it does happen no matter what gender you are
Give this guy an Emmy!! Chad did an amazing job yesterday. I was a little concerned about GH taking on this storyline but if yesterday was any indication of how it plays out, I can't wait! I just hope it's handled with care. I hate to see Michael dealing with this pain.
Rape is just plain worng! No one should ever have to experience that!! But I think that Jason is the best person that Micheal could tell first. I know it is hard for Jason to hear Micheal say something like that but, if anybody does, he knows what to say. This reminds me of when Emily came to Jason and told him she was raped. But thus is just such a sad scene!
it was very hard for Michael to confess to what happened to him I totally understand believe me I would know I don't know if I'll ever be able to tell my family what my did to me I can't I love Michael for being so brave
I'm trying my very hardest not to cry I love GH and I LOVE Michael and Jason he is one of the best father figures out there for anyone especially in these types of situations where (don't get me wrong) but I really don't think Sonny would be able to handle as well as Jason does I'm SO glad Michael has him and yes I do believe 100% that Jason is still alive and fighting to come back home to Sam, Danny and the rest of the PortCharles clan :)
And the emmy goes to.....Chad Duell. That was a seriously powerful, raw, and emotional scene at the end and chad nailed it. Not to mention Steve and Andrea, they held their own as well. Bravo to GH for finally getting something right after so many wrongs.

As a victim myself it hits hard yet I can't stop rewatching because they get how it feels and how you react perfectly. Absolutely amazing soap opera. One of many reasons General Hospital meant so much growing up. Liz despite her character so far is the right person for the job of helping Michael with his ordeal and admitting it because even she tried to lie at first she knows the pain of hiding it and dealing with I would love to see that scene as well. That's true, but it was Franco, not Jason who sent Carter after Michael. The blame lies with Carter and Franco, they're the only two responsible for Michael's rape.
Jason did the right thing by killing the Son-of-a-bitch who did this to Michael. RAPE IS WRONG, and SHOULD BE PUNISHABLE BY DEATH in my opinion, if the rappest isn't remorseful.
omg I HATE how jason dante ( more dante than anyone else) and whoever else is there are always trying to cover up for michael help michael the guy is 19 he CAN live his own life. god chad and steve were just AMAZING here chad has such a talent for these amazing powerful storylines.
@ashleycramni I know. This I think will bring Abby and Michael and his family closer together now that he got it out of his system. I can't believe he carried this with him this long.
@ashleycramni Me too. I can't wait until Abby and Michael get together for real. She is the perfect person to help him through this tough ordeal, plus he wants to help her so it's a perfect match. Two people who care, respect, and help each other get through their situation together.
I know that this is gonna sound rude, but I hope that carter comes back... I only say that because whoever shot sonny, this will be his way of saying I'm coming after ur whole family
It would've been interesting if Carter came back as a ghost and haunted Michael. That probably would've pushed the storyline along faster, but Michael needed some time to cope and readjust to life outside of prison before talking about it. Chad's acting was phenomenal and heartbreaking, his performance felt so genuine. Also, Steve did a great job in that scene, not asking questions or interrupting, just simply being there and listening.
it was very hard for Michael to confess to what happened to him I totally understand believe me I would know I don't know if I'll ever be able to tell my family what my did to me I can't I love Michael for being so brave

Jason did the right thing by killing the Son-of-a-bitch who did this to Michael. RAPE IS WRONG, and SHOULD BE PUNISHABLE BY DEATH in my opinion, if the rappest isn't remorseful.
Most rapists aren't remorseful. They all should get what they deserve.
@ezshorty ITA! They will be so perfect together!!
did nobody catch that when Michael was beating up that guy he said " you will never touch me again" T-T
omg I HATE how jason dante ( more dante than anyone else) and whoever else is there are always trying to cover up for michael help michael the guy is 19 he CAN live his own life.
god chad and steve were just AMAZING here chad has such a talent for these amazing powerful storylines.
@ashleycramni
I know. This I think will bring Abby and Michael and his family closer together now that he got it out of his system. I can't believe he carried this with him this long.

GH 2/1/11 Jason & Michael
I imagine Abby was probably traumatized which is why she was frozen to the wall
yet another reason
Can anyone tell me the season and episode Michael was raped in, and the episode of Michael saving Abby? Please.
May 21st 2010 was when Michael was raped
+KendraS Thank you. xx
No problem
Raena love you too
@ashleycramni
Me too. I can't wait until Abby and Michael get together for real. She is the perfect person to help him through this tough ordeal, plus he wants to help her so it's a perfect match. Two people who care, respect, and help each other get through their situation together.
😭💔
😭
LMAO what was that!!

@ironman4472 ITA
Also, Steve did a great job in that scene, not asking questions or interrupting, just simply being there and listening.
it was very hard for Michael to confess to what happened to him I totally understand believe me I would know I don't know if I'll ever be able to tell my family what my did to me I can't I love Michael for being so brave
did anyone notice that when Michael was beating that guy he said you'll never touche me again
