I've been thinking about using a mini PC on the second, non-gaming PC in my house. I see lots of reviews for pre-built mini PCs on RUclips (here and other channels like ETA Prime), but wondered is there much of a community for building something like this yourself, or does it end up costing as much if not more to build your own?
Definitely a great emulation device - might grab one on sale for a backup PC
Good review . I think the price is fair according to hardware prices nowadays . Not a bad choice. The only drawback for me is the plastic case . 😊
It's a shame this one is no longer being sold. Your link takes me to about 30 different ones but none of them are the one you reviewed here. I guess Amazon is cracking down on these devices.
It's possible if you're outside of the US the links aren't working properly. This is still available and doesn't come loaded with the games. You have to get those separately.

Do guitar hero controllers work on plug and play consoles
I've only tried the wii ones and with batocera but yeah they worked perfectly. Absolutely the same way that it would on the original console.

why do you always review the most expensive mini pc's.

Yeah they are. For electronics its 1-2%. We're talking about $2-$7 at the most. That doesn't factor into decisions. I review cheap mini PCs too. I've done that just as much as the expensive ones. The more expensive ones have more capabilities due to higher performance. Viewers are more interested in stuff that does more as opposed to cheaper options with more limitations. You can find both on the channel though. Just did a $150 mini pc review a week or 2 ago.

The noise level from these machines is simply too extreme. Only deaf people can use them.

Looks solid. I'm sure price will drop. Too much competition. Still a decent price for what it does.
That mini PC is overpriced. You can get one with the exact same specs for more than $100 cheaper. You can even get a newer Ryzen with a much better GPU for less money than this unit.
12:26 Why they have USB 3.0 and old USB 2.0 on the same device? Why not put all USB 3.0?
The reason new hardware comes with older USB ports is because USB 3.0 generates a lot of noise in the 2.4Ghz radio spectrum. This means that you might have problems with your Bluetooth controllers drifting, disconnecting, lagging, your headphones and even your network may stop working when you have USB 3.0 devices connected, specially storage enclosures with long cables.
So, gaming computers should absolutely come with a few USB 2.0 ports.
not gonna lie, i opened the first link, saw price..closed link instantly....as much as i'm sure it does 'All the Things', $500 is WAYY out of my range....what ya got for a middle-aged dad who wants to relive childhood but at a budget under $100? ( but also not have to worry about a device containing a virus)
The ps classic is an affordable option with similar specs to the raspberry pi 3. They're around 40 bucks used on ebay and can run some n64, dreamcast, and psp with a couple minor tweaks. Super fast and easy to set up

500 dollars for a 5700U mini pc when a 300-350 dollars mini pc with a 7840hs/8845hs exist.
Paying more for a last gen 7nm chip than the current more power/efficient 4nm chip makes zero sense.
Is this mini pc good for content creation too?

Hey,im new to all this, would love a unit that could plug into tv and play games already loaded. Be a great prezzie for kids. Games for Nintendo gamecube,n64,ps1,ps2,ps3 if possible and xbox.what would u recommend? Budget up to $500. Thanks heaps
