Just missed all of you guys I was in Khao Lak Beach over this weekend. Looks like so much fun just to be carefree and traveling. I stayed at that hotel in Baan Rai Arun two years ago and it's a amazing place. We had a outdoor shower on the balcony overlooking the mountains and the dinner setup and decorations was great! Have a safe and fun trip everyone.

Such stunning place... we love Khao Lak, good food (Michelin guide), beautiful islands around, hot springs, Marine base/turtles and quiet area with white sand beaches. I also follow Tonys' channel but i think the main reason why he doesn't get many followers is because he doesn't speak as clearly as you, as Joe or as Lucas "Rides4 kicks". As a frenchman I need to concentrate to understand what he says. I remember the first time I met Rob "Twenty seconds in Thailand " at the restaurant of "Sunny in Thailand" I had difficulties to understand too, but now I feel more confortable with american natives than the UK's vloggers. Of course to understand "Kev in Thailand " was the biggest challenge but now I miss "Hello people". Being stuck in France since too long, I must thank all you guys for the daily happiness you bring in my life. With you I am in the Kingdom everyday. I hope to be back next july and on my way from Phuket to Nongkhai with my Honda 500X I will be glad to say hello to Tony in Phan-Nga and probably to Joe at Prachuap Khiri Kan. I exchange sometimes on messenger with Tony about our favorite Honda. Bon voyage!

Thanks for these videos, for those of us left hanging in limbo until the Covid-19 situation and the visa regulations improves, waiting in lockdown 'exile' to return to our families & loved ones, it's a joy to have these glimpses of road trips to the places we are all missing, and even normal daily life things in Thailand. Good quality and good humoured stuff from all you vloggers on this trip and so refreshing to see everybody enjoying the opportunity to enjoy Thailand during these strange pandemic times....p.s. those of us in 'exile' however, are more than just a little bit envious if the truth be known...but at least there are all you guys making videos to keep the memories and the hopes alive that one day we will be able to return.

Love khao lak I stayed at the Sands resort 6 years ago love it there enjoy life wish I can get back to thailand in cambodia at moment could be worse could be stuck at home uk😀

You're basically doing the same trip I first did back in Xmas 2003. I drove from Pattaya to BKK, then down to Chumphon, across to Ranong, through Khao Lak, down to Phang Nga, and across to Krabi, via Ao Nang. On the way back we headed back towards Phang Nga and then took the scenic 4118/401 (rather than take the main road -- there was no highway then) up to Surat Thani, and back to BKK. The following Xmas we were in the UK, and it was surreal seeing many of those beautiful places decimated by the tsunami.
My overwhelming take away from that trip though, was the Ranong to Khao Lak leg. The views were stunning, and I made the decision there and then, one day (in the not too distant future now) that will be where I ultimately settle. Somewhere on high ground, of course!

It's largely like living my last 20 years all over again! 555 Many of the places you go to, I've not been to for a long time, so it's nice to see how they've changed. I tend to keep off the roads a lot more now, and fly to Udon/Krabi/Ubon etc., having seen so much carnage over the years.

We where in Khao Lak 2 months after the ten year Memorial...Visited the cliff with the giant Buddha. Families had been there for the Memorial and put flowers and photos on the wave with all the names . That really hit me...so impressive, I will never forget !!

I've never been to Khao Lak, but i've heard of it. I know it got hid badly by the 2004 Tsunami. I was on my 1st trip to Thailand at the time and was in Phuket when it hit. I've been going to Thailand ever since that time, could tell you lots of things that happened when i was there, but not much time now i have to go to sleep. 🙏🙏👍👍

chuck I noticed when leaving the restaurant you said Delicious in Thai , normally from southern Thailand you would say phonetically " arroy" but you said "aloy' is that a Issan thing?
It's not only Esaan, it is well-known that in China too "r" is sometimes pronounced "l"...

It seems to be a little delayed this year.

One question today chuck goes Thailand have a national speed limit or does everyone just drive like a bat out of hell. Thanks for another great video i hope to see these sights soon
There are different speed limits for different types of vehicles. People here drive either really slow or very fast you have to be smart enough to maneuver in between of them if you don't want to cause an accident. Kind of like Thailand itself if you don't fit in your Fallout. To answer your question cars and trucks are 90 km per hour usually under a hundred there's no problem with tickets
@@notime2bsad i kind of figured that but never see speed limit signs. I live just north of Miami town called pahokee. We speed constantly. Go with the flow or your going to slow
