She said it thrice. 1st was in the X Factor interview (2012), 2nd was during a Twitcam Livestream right before she said "Ryan Gosling" (2013), and once more during an early 2015 ambush interview where the girls were asked to list their top celebrity girl crushes. Dinah yelled "Zendaya!" and Camila yelled "Lauren!" .

Even though C had a crush on Ryan Gosling, Orlando Bloom, Rachel McAdams and Emma Stone (and Spiderman) it can't be them since C don't know them well enough to be in love with them.
It can't be Austin Mahone because they lasted only two weeks.
It can't be Michael Clifford because it was just a fling.
It can't be Shawn Mendes because though they met in 2014, it wasn't until Nov 2015 that they get to be closer because of IKWYDLS, and this was filmed in Sept 2015, 2 months before their collab.

Except that it could’ve been Shawn Mendes. Even tho their first song together was released in Nov 2015, they had recorded it at least three or four months prior. In July of that year Camila and Ally were seen together attending Taytay’s concert, but at some point she ditched Ally and slipped backstage, met Shawn, and they apparently recorded that song there and then.
