    This is geometrical incorrect...

Alright explain what the issue is then?

@@KitFuderich ezy... i dont speak good english so i hope you get what i mean. If you look from above down to the spiral you will see a oval, because this method changes the diameter from x axis but not y. Each segment, not just half of acircle should constantly have the same angle and same distance from z axis. Draw a circle, take a point where two outlines meet, draw a line a few mm in z axis and connect the end to the next segment endpoint. Delete the z line and the diagonal line is now one segment of the spiral. Now you can copy this line on each circle endpoint. Delete the circle and you have (24) diagonal lines row in a circle. Select all an copy them on top of them 24x. There are now 24 helix or spirals in row. Delete all but one. Scale the one down to your wanted hight and copy as much you need on top of each other.... hope you get my english skills😅

@@The_Pink_HUNTer okay, I kind of get what you are referring to. To do an even scaling of a shape with Sketchup on both the x and y (proportional scale) you need to hold down option (for mac) or shift (for PC). You'd want to do this if you are going for a perfectly circular spiral especially when you scale down the spiral forms- looks like you already figured this out. Appreciate your comment and hope it helps others out if they are shooting for a circular (rather than oval) spiral form. Do check out my sketchup screw video as well which is an extension off of this exercise: ruclips.net/video/6PqK9DpZMRE/видео.html. Be well and wishing you lots of success with your Sketchup work!

Vorname is right, when we tilt a circle all the way it'll elevate as a line, but I do appreciate the easyness Kit is showing to make a spiral. Sometimes we tend to use sketch up for geometric perfection goal when in fact, at least in my cases, it's a tool. The easiest and fastest way to put my idea across is what I usually want.

@@KitFuderich oh yes... your screw video is pretty much what i told. Nice!
