The Redragon K618 Horus keyboard offers a decent battery life for a wireless RGB keyboard, though the exact duration depends on how intensively you use the RGB lighting: With RGB Lighting On: The battery lasts around 20 hours when the RGB lighting is fully on. With RGB Lighting Off: When the lighting is off, it can last up to 60-70 hours on a single charge, which significantly extends the usability if RGB lighting isn’t crucial. It comes with a 3000mAh battery, which is relatively large and rechargeable via a USB-C cable. If you’re using the keyboard casually or with RGB on lower brightness settings, you may get slightly more out of it. For heavy daily usage with lighting on, it might need charging every couple of days, while without lighting, it could easily last about a week or more.

Anyone commenting that the build quality is amazing must have never felt a quality keyboard. Feels cheap, the sound knob is doesn't scroll smoothly. I really don't know why I expected more lol. I was looking for a wireless keyboard and wanted to pay around 100-120. All keyboards I wanted were in the 180+ range (other than a Corsair I found but used the old USB port). For the price, it's a good keyboard, but don't expect premium, top of the line materials.

Hi. So I just received this keyboard today and I use a lot of excel for work. For some reason, I can't Ctrl+A on the keyboard when editing data in the cell. I can CTRL+A just fine elsewhere. Do you have any idea how I can fix this?
This review was very cool, however, one thing I don't think I understand, the backlight colors are constantly being alternated or you can configure a single color? The devicedriver's software allows some customization of keys?
Hi, thanks for much for a great review!! I see the low profile switches are red - I tried looking online, it seems to come only with red (no blue/brown switch option). So my question is: are the switches swappable? And what switches are they? (Redragon usually uses OUTEMU in other keyboards?)
I have a g915 and it has the same type rubber buttons and that KB was 250.00 when I got it. I just bought this RD KB for 32.00 so those rubber buttons are ok with me if they save 200.00+ dollars
So i recently got my keybored and i was playing a game on my laptop the keybored was doing fine and nothing wrong it was fully charged as well i was playing for a good hr then all the sudden the whole keybored wouldn't respond but it was still getting light from my computer and connect but wouldn't respond i also noticed the M light was flashing a light and it wasn't doing that before i TRIDE everything but nothing seems to work ?
What's wrong with the keycaps? Is it for being low-profile? There are few companies making low-profile keycaps. Cannot I replace the keycaps with one of these? Or there are other issues as well?
I tried changing the keycaps with aregular one. Since the switches are low profile, the regular keycaps have a short space from the board. So it feels as though it doesn't go all the way down. And regular keycaps doesn't secure on the switches properly. Pops off sometimes. So no, keycaps fpr this should be low key/ thin key caps.
Great review I have the optical Vata pro and macro keys also have that rubbery old calculator fee, I guess they put them in all their keyboards no matter the model.
I had both. Keychron does not have 2.4ghz. Keychron seemed stopped listing full size layout keyboard on amazon. K618's keycaps felt better to type on compared with keychron's. Keychron's keycap has a flat surface.
Just got this and tried it out. Connection with the usb 2.4 key was a nightmare! Many issues like: it would only register the first key i type, or it would miss keys that i input. I had the usb c cable plugged in to power it since it was brand new, but that shouldn't interfere with the other usb wireless connection? Would the Bluetooth connection be more stable i wonder? The dropped keys and bad connection persisted whether the usb c was plugged into my laptop or plugged into a different power source. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm quite disappointed. I tried the logitec g915 before this k618, but the software was compete garbage and wouldn't let me program different profiles as advertised. I hated how expensive the logitec was for it to still be buggy and fail to deliver features. Sadly i think this red dragon keyboard performs much worse.
I just got this kb but I have a Logitech GPRO wireless mouse (and another in the same room, used by my friend) and it conflicts with both. The keyboard is essentially dead while connected through wireless as 90% of the input gets lost. The two mice are working properly. Anybody knows a workaround to that? I cannot force-change the channel used by the mice as - for what I understand - Logitech constantly maps the room for conflicting devices and switches the channel automatically. This is why two identical mice don't interfere.
@@brzozex Yes. I had this question on Tom's Hardware forum and one guy actually managed to solve my issue by recommending me to use one of my USB2.0 ports on my MB for the Keyboard. And much to my surprise it worked, no interference eversince! Apparently - as he linked - intel screwed sg. up with 3.0 and 3.1 and using wireless 2.4 GHz on those. That being said I am very dissatisfied with the LED quality of the keyboard with buttons having all kinds of shades even when a uniform color is set. If you are peeking out of the RGB colors (I mean full red, full green) and set sg. like tan or bronze it gets very messy. Battery life is also mediocre at the very best. All in all I am only moderately satisfied with the KB.
@@Longsen I still use it. Turns out whenever you connect it to USB 2.0 the wireless signals no longer conflict. It's an issue with USB 3 and 3.1... Not an issue on the KB's side but more like Intel/Microsoft stuff. It's decent, I would not necessarily recommend, LED has very uneven colors whenever you ask for anything that is not full R, G or B, sometimes it takes 2 hits to recognize a key was hit and the menu and macro stuff is also not that good. Battery life is moderate, I need to connect it to USB every now and then (3-4 days) but note that the KB has no backlight unless you are typing whenever it is used wireless. I guess this is what a middle-line keyboard does today, or I dunno, don't have much experience tbh. But I expect high-end stuff to be significantly better than this.

New to this whole mechanical keyboard but i just ordered my first one k618.. and with all these mods floating around, I'm just curious if it's possible to lube the switches? Make it less stock sounding?
Is this hot swappable? Thanks
Will this backlight solid white?
Thank you. Do you know where to buy switches for it?
Thank you for review i just order this keyboard i use a lot of macro because i use short command for photoshop it really useful without use the software, I use to do the same when i use redragon K580 with outemu lime. I'm glad they including this . This model with low profile is really nice because i can type for long time without getting tired :)
Nice review, I think you can use other keycap and there 4 switch type redragon sell it now :D So Thank you for review
amazing review!
Glad you enjoyed it
i wanted to know i can turn-off the light on M1-M4 keys.
did u get it?
if yes plz tell me
Keycaps are Abs or pbt?
hey , do you know how to turnoff the sleep mode of the keyboard?
Been searching for a solution for this and until now not found it
Anyone commenting that the build quality is amazing must have never felt a quality keyboard.
Does anyone know the specs and dimensions of the battery used in this unit ? need to source an electrically compatible replacement that will fit
I havnt experienced low profile mechnanical switch ... is it better than standard red or worse? thanks
Can we use this wirelessly while charging from a power bank?
How is it now? Are there any problems after a while?
Quiet? Maybe for deaf people. As soon as my fingers flew over the keys down here it sounded like Call of Duty Warzone machine guns firing in all direction. Now I am surrounded by a temporary sandbag fortification to protect myself while getting my homework done.
are you hear other mechanical keyboards before ? :) they are all not so quiet as membrane without upgrades for silence
Maybe you are very new to mechanical keyboards. Most ppl love them. If you don't, go back to membrane. Simple as that.
Hi. So I just received this keyboard today and I use a lot of excel for work. For some reason, I can't Ctrl+A on the keyboard when editing data in the cell. I can CTRL+A just fine elsewhere. Do you have any idea how I can fix this?
Changes the switches on those keys
This review was very cool, however, one thing I don't think I understand, the backlight colors are constantly being alternated or you can configure a single color? The devicedriver's software allows some customization of keys?
Yes, for example, I leave it white.
I leave mine in red, i suppose it will consume less energy and will make the rgb leave longer.
Is Pulsar US ANSI Low Profile keycaps will fit on this keyboard?
Hi, thanks for much for a great review!!
I see the low profile switches are red - I tried looking online, it seems to come only with red (no blue/brown switch option).
So my question is: are the switches swappable? And what switches are they? (Redragon usually uses OUTEMU in other keyboards?)
got mine today and got Blue switch version
If I want to change the switches, which should fit ?
Can this work also just cabled with no wireless enabled ?
I didnt understand the part about 2.4 gz connection. Is there a way to use the 2.4GHz wirelessly?
2.4ghz is the wave frequency. it's wireless, but faster than bluetooth
can you use regular keycaps in this keyboard?
Nope, only low profile keycaps
This or the asus rog scope nx wireless deluxe is the best?
Please do a detailed review of k614
¿has save battery mode? i bought it but idont know, no information
And why no one tests the keyboards for security issues/hacks, and hardware exfiltration? Also the software should be check for exfiltration
IS IT POSSIBLE TO ENTER IN BIOS WITH K618 ? ALL OTHER BROTHERS CANT
2:29 What is that white controller?:)
Turtle Beach Recon Xbox Controller
I have a g915 and it has the same type rubber buttons and that KB was 250.00 when I got it. I just bought this RD KB for 32.00 so those rubber buttons are ok with me if they save 200.00+ dollars
can someone explain how to map the macros? I'm a bit confused
This looks best for programing
In wireless mode, the keyboard light turns off after one minute when it is idle. What should I do to keep it always on?
did u fix it?
Does the scroll wheel also mute?
Anyone here knows hot yo turn off the RGB with some keys? (Not the scrollbar)
Did you get it to work normally again? And do you still use it? Was debating on buying it, but iffy now after reading some of these comments.
@@jannokill090 Low profile keycaps are available now in the market. It won't be an issue anymore.
@@saifuzzaman7176 yup. Im trying find good ones though.
Space bar sounded a little more rattily when you moved your finger to the right
Great review I have the optical Vata pro and macro keys also have that rubbery old calculator fee, I guess they put them in all their keyboards no matter the model.
someone know how to keep my backlight on while AFK?
What mouse is that bro?
Hi. How to create macros????
what polling rate have?
What do you think if compare with keychron low profile ?
I had both. Keychron does not have 2.4ghz. Keychron seemed stopped listing full size layout keyboard on amazon. K618's keycaps felt better to type on compared with keychron's. Keychron's keycap has a flat surface.
@@hulong0205 is that Keychron K1? Which of the two feels better to type overall?
@@gusfring96 I prefer Redragon’s red switch. Very soft. But I think keychron looks better
what type of switch it uses?
So What material is the top plate?
According to the box it's aluminum
thin brushed aluminum. It has a cold feeling to the touch
@@ECPUz do you know that the TKL version which is k621 also aluminium? cause the seller here say that it's plastic
Around here I can only connect using 2.4 and bluetooth. Even with the USB-C cable connected, the keyboard does not recognize it.
Do you still use it? Was debating on buying it, but iffy now after reading some of these comments.
This is why two identical mice don't interfere.
did you manage to solve that issue??
@@Wikingking Do you still use it? Was debating on buying it, but iffy now after reading some of these comments.
Does it work for Macos?
Do you also have review for Redragon YI k625p
I am looing at the k625p as well, I think they are both the same as they use the same proprietary Redragon switch, just different in layout.
@@DeadScarify yeah . I bought k625p last month. It's pretty good keyboard. At first I thought it is a membrane keyboard. Hehe
@@NJaaayeeee I'm thinking of getting one this month, it's really one of a kind. 94 key and low profile. It's dope
@@DeadScarify nice. it's worth it to buy :)
Hello! How to turn off the M1 lights?
did u get it?if yes plz can u say how cuz i have the same problem
great review, but, unfortunately, this keyboard costs ~100+ euros here. any alternatives?
Try to grab one from Aliexpress, it should be around 60€ with shipping and taxes included

@@besmart9624 Aliexpress includes the VAT in the price for stuff under 150 euros or so :)

It looks like uses gateron Low profile switches can you confirm that ? Or is it redragon low profile switches ?
