  • This is a complete video about the Dwarf II tiny telescope. It is cheap when you look at the whole package. It has a built-in camera, star tracker, and telescope with wide-angle and 100 mm lenses.

    Watching this guy basically teach himself how to run the telescope and it’s still getting beautiful images like this. It’s amazing.

      Don’t do it! Get a Seestar S50, it’s better in every single way, and cheaper too! The dwarf 2 was a great device, but it’s overtaken now (that’s how technology works, as you know 😉)

    Do you think they bait and switched? I bought mine when they advertised you would get a significant discount if preordered.. months and months went by and I finally got mine at the same time everyone else did.. and the price has never changed. I feel lied to. I could of just ordered 6 month later at the same price and saved myself the headache of waiting several months.

    If you go to "Astro dark" mode and take your darks...it will automatically integrate with your live stacking and get rid of thise red and green pixels you're seeing automatically without having to do it later.

    • @RaysAstrophotography
      @RaysAstrophotography  Год назад +1

      I didn't know about that. Thank you

    • @PowerScissor
      @PowerScissor Год назад +1

      @@RaysAstrophotography Neither did I until yesterday.
      It will automatically take darks for each gain setting and put them in a folder...and then apply the appropriate darks to your current gain while live stacking, and the final stacked image...and it looks SO MUCH BETTER!
      I did my own darks at first...honestly their automatic darks/integration do a better job than I got out of Siril manually. I'm not a Siril expert...so it could be me...but haven't seen a hot pixel since I did the Auto Darks...and overall noise seems much better.
      I'm even enjoying my dwarf during the day just as much as night tracking birds, airplanes, and a family of otters by my house.

They are sending those out to reviewers but fuck anyone who actually paid for it, plus those assholes want $47 in shipping...I could have walked it from them to me by now. This is not a company to trust or give a dollar to. Their customer service tried to explain why they were sending those free ones as to help judge the market. To be honest...if you take your darks in "Astro Dark" mode...it does a pretty good job of automatically debayering, stacking, stretching and giving you a final image.
      As a beginner...you will spend a bunch if time in Siril and GIMP and end up basicalky with the same image they provide you instantly when done.
      To touch up the final image "snapseed" is great to use directly from your phone.
