Dude, thanks for sharing how you feel. I also have a channel and haven’t shared anything like for 3 years because of the same problem. Let me tell you, you look great and there’s nothing wrong with you. You inspired me already many times with your videos. Don’t stop making them, they make the world a better place!
appreciate you mario!! thought i'd be a lil honest. sorry to hear you struggle with the same thing and i'm hoping you'll push past it and make great videos anyway!!
All of these supportive comments are everything, bro. Was legit going to thank you for the video + transparency, but it looks like everyone else was going to do it as well! You have a community of supporters. We appreciate you and can’t wait to see your future work! 🙌🏼
I got the problem that the Polaroid quality is so inconsistent, that I'm only shooting Fujifilm instax. Fujifilm got something similar, but a bit less bulky, called the instax link. Where you send your phone or camera pictures over an App to the printer and they get printed on a Fujifilm Instax. You get this for every format. Wide, Square and Mini.
I have a Polaroid Lab and the coolest thing I did with it was creating a gold chain print, using the collage feature, that I then put together into a dress. Took LOTS of trial and error, but the final print came out really cool. Hope you have fun with yours and create some amazing work.
This looks like a super cool tool! As for feeling self-conscious and worrying about how you look on camera I won’t say "ignore it” but I will say you should ask your self "why do I feel self-conscious and why do I feel not good enough looking?” then ask yourself "is this a rational thought and is it true?". I would argue no it is not true, since, I personally think you look good and your style is really cool. Plus as far as I can tell everyone else agrees. It sucks to have feelings like this about yourself (I know from experience) but often they are unfounded and irrational. Meaning if you stop and think about them you start to realize that they aren’t true and are emotional thoughts, which are often not reliable. These are just a few things that have helped me recently. Hopefully, they are helpful for you too!
Absolutely agree Seth! Thank you so much for your comment. I usually push past the feeling and just drop videos regardless because that feeling used to not halt my video making process - but recently it was getting to me. Time to jump back out and make some videos!!
Self care is always more important than the grind. Plus your work is amazing and even “when it isn’t” it’s still a treat to be able to share that experience with you as a viewer/fan and see your enlightened perspective on things. The content struggle is a part of the human/artist experience that we all face and I love that you can be transparent about it. Shows that you’re human as hell lol On the less deep side-I’ve never seen one of these polaroids & now I need one in my life, thanks for the video 😅
I have the instax printer and it’s much easier as it works as a Bluetooth printer rather than having to put your phone screen on something. You can also Bluetooth from your computer and not just limited to your phone
For sure! I've used one of those instax printers and I think the instant film it produces look a little too printed / clinical for me but it still works magic!
I know what we see can be so different from what other see, but literally every time I see one of your videos I’m like “how is this dude so casually attractive?” 💀 Curls on point, beard looking clean, tasteful earring ✔️. You always look great. I hope you can find more love for yourself, because I know the people watching have it for you.
haha thank you so much. it's pretty wild the games your brain can play on you, especially given the fact that you watch yourself grow up and change. thankyou for the kind works!
@@linusandhiscamera I totally understand. I periodically go through the same thing myself. We’re always so much harder on ourselves than we’d ever be to a friend or even a stranger. When I try to think of myself as a friend, it helps shut up that dumb voice.
Hey man! Great video, as always. I love how you also cover those bits and pieces of the photography universe that do not seem „professional“ enough to some other (in my opinion: rather boring) people. For example, I got into shooting the Nimslo 3D because of your videos with about your Nishika N8000, and I love it. Both are silly cameras, but the results are just full of life and nostalgia. (Maybe those 3D images are actually the only digital photos that truly come close to the feel of a Polaroid, because we associate this jiggle effect so much with physical lenticular prints. But I digress, haha). Anyways, I also really enjoyed your take on this genius product. It may not give you a perfect photo, considering the colour accuracy and the contrast (or the lack thereof). But it will give you an excellent Polaroid, because Polaroid is more about texture and nostalgia than it is about picture quality, as you rightly point out. I think it would be interesting to see how the colours and contrast turn out if you add more contrast and intensify the colours digitally, before putting your phone on the lab. Definitely interested in some results there, as well as in any of your ideas with physically/chemically manipulating the printed polaroid! Regarding your self-consciousness: I am really no expert here, haha, as my own self-consciousness (among other factors, like the lack of time) stopped me from starting a youtube channel in the first place. So I think it is very refreshing to hear you talk about this, especially as you are a creator whose authenticity and warm-heartedness I really enjoy! So, in the hopes of this helping a bit: Speaking as a viewer, you really have nothing to worry about, you are enough and your uploads make my days and they inspire me - not only, but obviously including: to shoot my Nimslo or Polaroids! :)
Jules, oh my god thank you so so much for this kind ass comment! I'm so glad to hear you're loving 3D film cameras (once again...finding myself needing to shoot with them more frequently). Definitely loads of room to play and experiment with the Lab and i'm excited to do so! Going to need to try turning the contrast up soon. And once again, thank you! Just wanted to be honest about the lack of videos this year. Actively working on it thought, more videos to come!
I recently bought a Polaroid I-2 and love getting back into the format after decades since I last shot Polaroid. I felt like using the Lab was kind of cheating, but after watching your video I'm attracted to it again. I'll probably go broke with all of the printing I want to do. LOL
Great video. IMO the Instax Wide printer is far superior to this still. Both in form and function. Scanning a phone screen instead of just using a photo file feels too gimmicky.
Interested what your thoughts are on the instax wide printers. Far more affordable bigger film and you can still achieve that textural element you’re looking for, not to mention opening the door to things like collaged images over multiple prints. I will say you don’t get the same vintage-y imperfect feel that is so appealing in polaroid film though.
Hey mate, loved the video. Sorry to hear you feel self-conscious about the way you look. I think you look great. You have good style & you present yourself well, talk clearly & to the point. Your videos are well shot & edited. I look forward to more videos hopefully.
i haven’t personally done anything with the lab like that but i know a lot of people also change the tint of their photos to lean more pink to counteract how green the film is too!
unfortunately the phone being set on top of it activates it with some sorta signal...and i'm sure it's fixed macro focus...so maybe something is possible with some wiggle room but i'm not sure!!
HE UPLOADED DOEEEE
WOAHHHHHHH

Yooo, that Polaroid of the sunset and the Cherokee captures the Polaroid vibe so well, it really brings out that "nostalgic" feeling - absolute banger
dude that one is so sick. definitely really works well when you mimic the focal lengths that polaroids actually use!
All of these supportive comments are everything, bro. Was legit going to thank you for the video + transparency, but it looks like everyone else was going to do it as well!

You are adorable. I'm glad you like this extra photography tool/option and hope it will be a way to get some cool content during the K tour.
thanks Mom
You’re a dream Linus! This video sold me on this little tool. I’ll definitely be using this. Excited to see how tour goes!
hope you like it as much as i do!!

Some of those shots really came out well when converted.
Yeah seriously!!
You look great on camera man, on top of how sick the shots are
I appreciate it Elliot! You know how it goes. The lab is sick though!

Damn that thing is actually seriously cool! Never knew I would have wanted something like this until now

Proud of you and everything you’re doing friend. 🙌🏼✨

Love it !! We need more of the sauce !!

I thought it would have been crap myself. Might have to grab one now lol.
Like i'm so suprised haha
I love the Polaroid Lab! It is a nice alternative to 4x6. Great video Linus love your content !
thanks donald!!
best youtuber in the game 😭🙌🏻
Ngl I want one of these to get the most grainy 35mm film photo onto a Polaroid lol
haha sounds sick!!
Great video. IMO the Instax Wide printer is far superior to this still. Both in form and function. Scanning a phone screen instead of just using a photo file feels too gimmicky.
thank you linus!!! #Blessed
Getting the Instax wide printer instead. Way more portable and dynamic
Heard that! I've used it, it's prints a little too clinical for me but it's still great!

Great vid and great shots, love it !
Do you edit your photos to add like brightness before printing ? I saw others RUclipsrs that are doing that.
i haven’t personally done anything with the lab like that but i know a lot of people also change the tint of their photos to lean more pink to counteract how green the film is too!
The King returns!
A little upset we didn't have a shot of a scanned Polaroid that was re-printed with the lab. Or is that cannibalism?
LOL...let me get on that
That was dope!
Curious how it would look if you tried to use it like a camera. Like don’t try to scan the phone, just let it shoot an object some distance away.
unfortunately the phone being set on top of it activates it with some sorta signal...and i'm sure it's fixed macro focus...so maybe something is possible with some wiggle room but i'm not sure!!
Where you been for 4 months !
i been down bad!!
god ur so handsome
the polaroid lab thing is really cool too tho, the jeep photo is actually insane

Pretty clever!

Because of this video, I'm buying me a Polaroid lab. Thank you Linus for this upload. You look good my boy!
