Do the youths have a national agenda for development or they just see the corruption. That can be dealt with. Brain washed activists who take youths emotions as a tool with no virsion for the nation is dangerous, it can lead to situations like Haiti. After all Africa is getting tired of exchanging opportunists under the umbrella of multi party politics. We have to adopt the Chinese model, we spend too much money on useless politics.
Excellent analysis by the Prof.. Liberation movements like FRELIMO, the ANC and SWAPO have outlived their usefulness by all means.. What is left is sheer corruption, incompetence and acts of criminality, I agree.. Like here in South Africa, our Mozambique brothers and sisters deserve far more better in their beautiful part of our continent..
We are disgraced by the high levels of corruption from the judiciary , the police, the attorney General, all these people take these positions to serve Frelimo not the state.
Guys, thank you for opening my eyes. The political problems in Mozambique made me to understand the actual decline of South Africa, mostly Joburg[ where porverty and danger is rampant]. I am sad for you my Africans brothers! Thanks ANC and Ramphosa for showing to the world your hypocrisy and lack of empathy to the people's struggles to bring down a dictatorial regime.
The same promises made by Chapo would have been praised if they came from Mondlane . Bouncing back to where , Mozambique has never been better than what it is now .The commentator is right when he says the protests are Maputo-centric , the people of Maputo are tribal they want to be governed by a certain tribe of people-that will destroy Mozambique.
Africa needs to learn from China, multi party politics have never brought development in any third world country. Even the Arab countries that are prosperous have not entertained multi party politics. Too much is spent on politics, winning elections and maintenance of power. Activists are well funded and prepared in the west to fuel chaos and take power. It is sometimes an exchange of opportunists like we have seen in Zambia Malawi Ghana and the like. No serious agenda other than accusations of corruption. Africa should wake-up and stop these senseless politics. The same people demanding democracy are the ones funding rebels. The main goal is to make Africa ungovernable so that they continue looting. Ask the youths if they have any serious national agenda, they are just mobilized to save interests of some people sitting somewhere in the remote. Africa is working up guys, useless activists will have to find a place to go.
1. Mozambique and many African countries are kleptocracies, they’ve never had true democracies. How can countries where the 3 branches of government are controlled by the ruling party be considered democracies? 2. Botswana and Costa Rica are examples of countries where democratic principles are fairly strong and they’re showing consistent development. 3. Why would anyone want their civil liberties taken away? Africans have gotten a taste of having their freedoms taken away since the colonial era until today, so why would we want to continue experiencing that? 4. Authoritarianism is a recipe for disaster, just look at Franco’s Spain, Mussolini’s Italy, Pinochet’s Chile, Equatorial Guinea, North Korea, Pol Pot’s Cambodia, Mao’s China. 5. I’d much rather have places like Sweden, Norway and Denmark as models to strive for in terms of living environment.
Are you saying dictatorship is the better alternative and that's what the people of Monsambique deserve and want? Is that what the freedom fighters fought for?
@@libertatem1636 the Americas are a post colonial mixed bag, but there are democracy success stories. Democracy is messy even where it is successful but humans have the right to self determination. Kleptocrats will exist under any system, but if there is no means of getting them out short of revolution there is no limits to their theft and repression of the nation which they are robbing.
Some self-proclaimed "analysts," despite holding academic degrees, have displayed persistent pessimism about their own country throughout their lives. This negativity often earns them favor with the international press. However, it’s time to move forward with optimism and a positive outlook!
We are continue to fight for our nation and chapo is not our presidente but Venâncio Mondlane is presidente election.
Thanks dear Adriano for reporting our country's situation to South Africa.
VM7 💪💪💪
We’re not backing down ! We’re disappointed with Ramaphosa for coming to our country to endorse Frelimo
Frelino and Anc.....same WhatsApp group. So of course he has to support😢
The first thing to convince the people was to accept the defeat
And he failed to do so. Which let's us to wonder: how can a candidate who rised from corruption actually combat corruption!? Shouldn't he be example!?
Chapo missed a great opportunity in his inaugural speech by not publicly inviting Venâncio Mondlane to a dialogue table. 😤
It has been months since President VM formally invited the regime’s executive branch, however, they didn’t even give him an answer.
According to the Electoral Commission, Chapo won, we need to respect each country's laws
It’s not the unnecessary spending . It’s the corruption / deals done under the table .
All of it starts with Frelimo controlling the 3 branches of government, which Chapo conveniently left out of his speech.

Prof. Adriana's comments are politically biased and never objective. It is extremely risky to share a cup of tea with this strange academic.
He is telling the truth, on this platform of news.
