what a drive!, i was there and backed thorate, got 16/1!
Arguably the best drive in the history of the race - wide, back to last, 4 fence and doesn't go round a horse til the final corner
Had my mother back thorate for me as I was too young lol
PAID 22-1 in Sydney. A magic drive.
Driver forgot to mention Thorate hard to beat. He bolt in.

So much for Whitby Timer
The two Chambers horses locked wheels in this race. He wasn't from the very top shelf Whitby Timer but I'd have one as good as he was any day.
Anything with " Whitby " in its name was always junk. They'd gallop at odds on, or be over-rated in commentary, and so on. Was always the case.
4 back on the fence
Not these days
Have not seen one for a long while
West oz horse won from impossible pozy
Few years ago
Apart from that
It's been mechanical
Boring so to speak
Harness racing ,was more lovable to watch
Not these days
Sorry!
Yep was a huge harness racing fan up untill 2015. Boring asbatshitnow
Have to agree. The last two inter finals have been boring. The last really good final that I recall and one of the best full stop since I started watching in 1980 in my opinion was the 2016 final, of course that being run on the small track at Gloucester Park. Nowadays the mid race moves don't happen, they all sit and wait for the sprint lane.
