Ah look at Cory all camera shy! Fast forward 10 months and he’s a pro in front of the camera now 😂
Hey Cory, congrats on your new job! I think you'll have a great future with Artisan and Jordan. Your first EV charger job looks proper.
Corey has a very Elvis-esque look to him. All the best to him and yourself with everything. Congrats on the day 1 tick Corey.

Cory you are the man !!! Cory looks like a young Elvis Presley !
Haha awesome
Welcome Cory - Jordan’s a top bloke gave me some great advise. Looking forward to seeing more EV chargers going in 👍
Thanks Richard
Tidy electrician will fit in nicely with the ocd electrician 😉
All the best Cory, I bet you can’t wait to get your hands on the company Tesla!
🤣 not yet! He has to prove himself first! 😎
@moto Line lmao
Cory's done an excellent job on the EV Charger.👍🏼 Artisan Electrics is a great company to work for, Jordan would make a great mentor. I wonder if Jordan will lets you on his Tesla.🤔 Since you'll be bouncing up & down the country representing Artisan Electrics for EV Charging points.😉 All the best.
The music has improved in 2021 👍💪😂
10:15 demonstrating the caress very well 😆😆😆
I knew this fella was a keeper from the minute I saw & heard him & look at him now, this guy has no limits😉
Hi Jordan I have found in the past the N.I.C. Love picking you up on the use of tape instead of proper sleeving on cable , even to the point of saying it should cover the entire length of said cable . Don’t we all just love 💗 the N.I.C Three cheers anyone . Congratulations to you and your new operative All the very best from Mike 👍
Thnks Mike
Obviously they don't al sing from the same hymn sheet, I have had about 5 different NIC guys visit me over the years, and not one has ever made a comment about me not covering the whole conductor. There's no problem as long as it's identified can't see an issue, after all job blogs shouldn't be fiddling in their.
I was looking around YT on how to relocate a ceiling light, but instead I watched probably all videos with Artisan Electrics installing EV charging points - Great content and love your work.
Jordan did Cory DIRTY with that tiny shirt-
Welcome Cory! That polo shirt suits you 😀
Welcome to youtube Cory 👍👍👍
👍👍👍
Yes always the first connection is the PE cable terminal and then the rest cables.
Cheers from Hellas.
Nice one Cori... smashed your first day 👊
Nice one Cory. Well done Jordan. All the best for the business.
You seem like a great boss; I'd say Cory's a very lucky employee.
Best wishes in new job Corey. Do you tend to use heat shrink a lot? Because, I think it was on a Car program like Wheeler Dealers, they were making a custom wiring loom, and they had a curved attachment that basically surrounds the wiring to be shrunk and covers a good section of the area with heat in one go.
Tea and beacon sandwich’s all served up on the dustbin lids 😂 never mind 2 x £80.00 an hour plus vat ill bet you don’t mind 🤑
It would be good to see a charge point with a retractable cable. Maybe with a safety switch so you have to pull out the whole cable before it will turn on
Nice sounds Jordon
If cory will turn up i think al have a few charges installed even though they is no cars to use them
Just a FYI, the proper term you were looking for regarding the wall was “plumb” instead of level.
Hi Jordan,
Got my EV charging qualification recently, fit one charger so far.
Have quoted for a couple of Zappi installs (£1150 for a tethered Zappi and hub, 12 metre cable runs,£800 for customer to pay £350 government grant)
and missed out to large national
companies who seem to be
installing for small profit margins. One of the customers had been quoted a grand for a Zappi install? The big companies will obviously get the chargepoints a lot cheaper than what I can, but seems like they have got a bit of a monopoly on the market?
Do you or your subscribers find this happening when you're quoting for EV charging jobs?
Nice channel by the way. Subscribed
Doing well with the buisness there Kiddo. Best of luck to you man. Wish i had the social media we now have when my spark's started.
Again, all the best man.
Thanks!
Thankyou for the video
You’re welcome!
Hi Jordan, if you expand into South Yorkshire in about 3 years, give me a shout! That's when I qualify and I'd love to get into EV chargers. I'll be your South Yorkshire (or even Yorkshire!) rep.
im sure he will remember your comment in about 3 years
I have no doubt it complies with the guidance but ye Gods- that looked like a fairly new elevation (or house) and all that external cabling just looks bloody awful.
Apparently it was the client who did that unsightly supply. He can't be critical because it's the client.
Super neat job cory.👏
What’s the max demand on EV chargers generally? Such a pain when there’s not enough room for a service loop when terminating, no excuse on a unit of that size
Regards Cory ! Behave yourself !!
😂👍
@@artisanelectrics You can run, but can't hide Cory !!
Good luck to Cory ( he will need it with the miles your have him covering 😃) why heat shrink when you could just leave the internal sheath on? Also I can’t believe they can’t get a local spark to fit one but hey ho well done Artisan moving on up.
why did he use heat shrink tube for the compression gland? why didn't he just leave the SWA inner-sheathing and use that into the compression gland?
Exactly schoolboy error for the new boy
Yeah I just noticed that too.
Must have lost it in the gland due to haste, poor planning/preparation.
Curious why you use the blue / brown/ green yellow pvc tape on the swa cable conductors. Would coloured heat shrink sleeve not be better - considering you have the heat shrink gun out anyway for the IP rating sleeving.
Hello, please can i have you views on a wall box EV charger, i have a tesla like yours, will the wallbox control the load to the house as to not overload the incoming supply, thanks in advance, Bryan.
I don’t have any experience of installing WallBox yet I’m afraid. So I can’t comment on its features. Zappi has the load limiting and all the other safety features needed though so I would just say put a Zappi in.
In that drone footage and when you went in to cover the camera with your hand I immediately said “guarantee he cuts his hand” sure enough you did 😖
Haha yeah what an idiot I am... 🤣
@@artisanelectrics 🤣🤣
Congrats to Cory for his one year anniversary at Artisan!
Meant to Finnish first comment rather then the old fashion collector strip 👍
Basically take a shot every time Jordan says basically
😂
I’m basically bladdered then ..........
Nice Badar,,,,!
Just commenting to coment, beacuse u say it helps. And i really like u guys. I like the video, wher u Jordan sad. il mowe on pebel at the time. See u in 14Days😂
Plz make more of them remarks.
You would of thought the modern unit would of come up with a better connection
True yeah connector blocks are pretty old school
@@artisanelectrics but that's the same on all consumer units as well.
True
would anyone really want this on the front of your house or side ?
oh subtitle (CC) went off... Oh Dang.. Thumb up! Cheer!
What happened to Oscar?
Oscar is an apprentice.
Tradify? You said you fit them with TLC 😃😃😃
Better get a few More EV men what with the news this week!
Nice job 😎😎😎
What no "byeeeeee"? 😆😆😆
Why heat shrink and not just keep the inner sheeth for the ip67 gland ?
It got stripped back too far
@@artisanelectrics Fair enough did think that was the reason, out of interest why is the entry from the swa and above IP rated? does seem like a double up even those they are nice units
Have you got a link for your crimp set and heat gun? Please! Good job Cory!
nice video as usual and congrats on the new team member.......just a quickie, any reason the swa armour wasn't earthed ?
What are the clips used at 7.52, they seem to be hammer in types with no screw fixing?
Yeah they are Linian super clips
Forgot to install an isolator switch?
At least lunch looks good
Could we also have a link to the background music please?
Yes pls!
Why do all domestic sparks insist on using adjustable pliers to tighten cable gland nuts? Just buy the right size spanner or if you must use a decent quality adjustable spanner. Drives me potty every time I see someone mangling the fittings like that .....
Wish very best to ev sparky
They are a nice looking charger, hope that you didn't have the ordering issues as last time lol. Welcome to the Channel Corey, shame about the power tools you use DeWalt 🤮🤮🤮 lol only kidding
What are the clips being used on the SWA?
Jordan are you travelling to these jobs near
London to price them and then returning to do the work ?? Cheers 🍻
What are those swa clips? Look nice.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who wondered that. First I'm seeing them.
Why is it, the bigger the equipment the smaller the termination area gets, not quite as bad as electric ovens though.
Very neat
Hi new to watching the channel,!! Been looking into doing the EV installs would you recommend doing the Domestic Installer Course and then the EV course to then start been able to do the installs .??
what was the song used at 8:30?
Cool video as always. Did you not install a fuse saver on this one or did you get permission instead from the DNO. I didn't notice a data cable at the Andersen
No fuse saver needed as it was 100Amp supply and low max demand so we could connect and notify
wheres the TT?
Probably doesn’t need one, a lot of modern chargers have build in PEN fault detection devices
I think your 2 or 3mm off center between those SWA's 😜
Whats happened to all them hilti power tools you had, you used any yet
Yeah use them all the time!
722.55.101.5 The lowest part of any socket-outlet shall be placed at a height of 0.5 to 1.5 m from the ground.
Is corry going to get the Tesla as the works vehicle 🚘
Get the poor lad a bigger top
👍😂😂
Hi, you should check out Zaptec.com.. excellent EV charger
Do you need any more electricians? Thank you!
Not at the moment thanks
"Gentle caress" Seem all the youtube sparks are getting work husbands & wifes.
He'll be gone after a few months working for himself, particularly now the government have just announced they're bringing forward the electric only vehicle plan by 10 years. Loadsa money 💰
Poor guy manger work hart
Bloody hell guys...... did you see all the greasy hand prints on the front of cabinet after the cable was stowed .... tut tut. Very unprofessional. . Lol. Regards Don.
those chargers are nasty looking, still nicer than the horrible old rolecs from 2013
Who is here after Cory's exit?
Throwback
Hope your paying him at least half your ridiculous hourly rate lol
He is earning a handsome wage for a young chap 😉
@@artisanelectrics Lol. Fair enough. I’m Curious.....do you charge him out at the same rate you charge for yourself?
@@Spark101. Almost certainly
@@obcallum6450 Imagine being the client.....Jordan and Corey turn up. They’re at your property for the day installing an EV charging point. Labour! £1536.00 incl VAT. Materials at cost + 20% (ish).
Sorry, but no 2 electricians are worth that for standard electrical work. Trying to pretend that you are a super sparks worth more than any other electrician I have ever met is one thing.....but trying to say your employee electrician is too! Ridiculous. I don’t care how good the service is. It isn’t that good! 😂
Personally, I think that hourly rate isn’t entirely true. There is no chance Jordan finds clients day in and day out who are willing to pay it.
If I’m wrong, I will start operating a team out of Cambridge and give him some competition. I’ll only charge £70.00 per hour per man and give twice the services! I’ll still make a killing.
Anyone want to show this guy which way round you use the grips!
Do the plasters come with a discount code? 😆😆😆
Yeah, Bundy10!!!!!
Yeah, Bundy10!!!!!
It’s so cringy keep asking people in camera what they thought of their first day. Are they really going to say anything bad
First sighting of the traitor!
did you tell him he's now working for a guy on the sex offenders register, or do you just keep quiet and let him find out the hard way?
???
Explain
Sound poor!
During LOCKDOWN Covid rules prevent sharing of food and drink by staff who do not share a household.
Jog on
Very disappointed you had no COVID masks on and accepted a drink from the customer which is also an unnecessary additional virus transfer risk , as an employer you are required to make the workplace ( including sitting in the van) covid safe, something you failed at in this video

@@gkbailey540 If you had lost your brother to it you wouldn’t make such comment, did it make you feel the big man saying it
@@electricery nobody cares
@@gkbailey540 still trying to be the big man, just remember what goes around comes around.
@@electricery LOL, everyone always quick to assumed someone is " trying to be the big man " no, we just don't care.
Weird 😂
Basically STOP saying Basically it’s so annoying
I would sack him for using grips on a swa gland, stripping the inner sheath off too far back, letting the drill bit damage outer sheath of cable, leaving cores too long at connections, spacing between crap hammer in swa clips too big. Apart from that pretty average performance for domestic market.
And on that note welcome to Artisan and the scrutiny of You Tube, don't forget your appearance fee Cory👍😊
