    I re-learn the plugin order every two weeks or so. It's been a while since my last welding session. Looks like the q200 can use barcodes to track batteries too...

    Thanks for the review. I've been looking at these two exact models. Going to go for the Q200.

    FYI both chargers are made by skyrc they just put hitec’s name on the ones they sell

    Very nice review :)
    Funny thing is that SkyRC had also the same model like your old Hitec X4 AC Plus lol It was called SkyRC Quattro B6 AC if my memory was good!
    Thanks for sharing! All the best for 2017

    just so anyone new to this knows, if u have a 1300mah battery u don't have to set it to 1.3A. that setting is for the amps u are putting into the battery which will effect how long it will take to charge, so in the vid a 1300mah bat at 1.3A is around an hour but u can go lower or higher. if u don't need to charge fast go lower.this charger says it can do 10A on ports A and B, even with a 10,000mah I wouldn't charge at 10A

      @travisgrindal  7 лет назад

      Every lipo battery I've ever seen supports "1C" charge rate, which for a 1300mAh battery is 1.3A. Most good batteries can support faster charge rates. At 1C, a battery should take about 1 hour to fully charge. At 4C, a battery could charge in about 15 minutes. Charging at high C rates will put extra wear on your batteries. That's probably fine if you're destroying them like I do in crashes well before they wear out from charging and discharging.

    The only time that I need multi port charger is when I need to charge multiple packs with different cells numbets other than that I mostly charges my packs in parallel.

    I think maybe the wifi add-on would allow you to use the app as far as your wifi signal would go, much longer distance than bluetooth. Not sure, just a guess.

    I belive the module is to connect to the charger via WIFI vs bluetooth which is built in.

    Thanks for the video, would you say 4 years on there are now better chargers available at the same price point or is this still a good buy?

    So some info for you. I rang SkyRC in China. They say the WiFi module does not work with the Q200. (Note WiFi very different to Bluetooth). I assume they simply have no compatible software for it. This is unfortunate as Bluetooth has very limited range and hence is close to useless. Where as if they bothered to write some code for their B/G/N WiFi module it would work same as using it n their D100 etc .-.-.

    Maybe the wifi module allows you to connect to the PC via wifi rather than bluetooth or USB?

    if you like hitec support i just discovered they have a hitec x4 pro that looks exaclty the same as tthe q200 and it has bluethoot and app too

      Hello. I have a question. I love the SkyRC Q200 BUT one thing id don't like much is that if you charge for storage it only charges to 3.78 per cell instead of 3.80 or 3.81 I have tried to find info on how to change that but with no success. Do you know how? Yours in storage mode at which number per cell stops?

    hi dear
    what's the difference between D200 & Q200

    • @travisgrindal
      @travisgrindal  5 лет назад

      D stands for Dual. Q stand for Quad. The D200 can charge 2 batteries simultaneously, the Q200 can charge four batteries simultaneously.

    Hi, nice content as always,
    I will consider one of those as my next charger. But will they charge HV (high voltage) batteries?

    • @travisgrindal
      @travisgrindal  8 лет назад +1

      Yes, it can charge HV batteries. That is also a reason I bought this one.

    What if you have traxxas connectors on your batteries. Do they sell them or do you have to cut those off and add the traxxas. Thanks

    • @travisgrindal
      @travisgrindal  7 лет назад

      You can solder your own Traxxas to banana connector and use them. I'm sure they're also available already soldered. It would just be a matter of searching for them.

    informative video:) I'm new to flying racing quads, not Walmart cheap ones. I got a realacc x210, and man its fast. One issue tho, the quad stays at whatever angle I use on the right stick after I return it to zero. is that normal? on the cheap toys once you let go of the right stick, the drone goes to level. I'm wondering if I have settings wrong somewhere. I have the naze32 fc, but I'm so new I don't really know what I'm doing. any thoughts would be appreciated. 👍👍

    • @whollymindless
      @whollymindless 8 лет назад

      Tj Brooks Yes that is normal if you are in rate/acro mode. See if you can find angle mode or horizon mode, they will self level and not scare the children so much. Or find some locals and learn Acro, its the best/coolest way to fly. (corrected spelling of "See")

    Have you tried parallel charging? It's so much quicker and easier.

    • @bwxmoto
      @bwxmoto 8 лет назад

      It is better for your batts to use a single balance charger per pack. It can control the voltage of each individual cell more precisely. Plus he has 4 chargers there, so unless he's charging 5 packs he won't save any time. Plus he could just charge them at 2C and charge them in half the time to save time..

    • @Gloch9
      @Gloch9 8 лет назад

      As long as your cell voltages are within the same range connecting them in parallel is just as precise as charging individually. All packs become one battery and each cell balances the same.

    • @bwxmoto
      @bwxmoto 8 лет назад +1

      GORT
      I have a lot of experience with this. different age packs, different brand, different internal resistance etc can get batts out of balance or put more stress on one cell than the other in the same parallel circuit. It is better for your batts to charge each cell individually, period. Sure you can para charge but why if you have 4 chargers sitting there? It makes no sense.

    • @Gloch9
      @Gloch9 8 лет назад

      BWX If your going to get technical with IR, variant aged packs and mixed manufactured lipos than yes I agree single charging is best for the pack. But for myself and most racers I know our packs are the same mah, brand and age so in our case I see no harm in parallel charging.
      My point was in ease of charging multiple packs. I have over 15 flight packs so being able to connect them all in parallel and only having to make one selection once instead of 15 individual times saves me lots of time.

    • @bwxmoto
      @bwxmoto 8 лет назад

      GORT
      But then you still have to make sure the voltage is in the same range which means checking each pack individually. It also dictates you flight times, meaning you always have to fly the exact same time to get the pacls all down to the same voltage every flight which affects how you fly. I would rather not worry about any of that.. and just get more chargers.
      But yeah I am not ever charging 15 identical packs at a time, so that's really a different scenario.
