But when some streamer or content creator gets married, or gotten a partner or something else, I would be a little sad. It feels like your friend getting married. In other cases, they just switch to something else (Frank). When recently, Norio/Tamaki got married, I found that I was pretty cool with, uh, they found someone they love. Because Tamaki isn't exactly a streamer, more like a host, so I don't even feel like I'm losing a friend. For Japan, it's less about a celebrity getting married than it is about a woman getting married. Even ordinary office ladies are mostly there to eventually marry some guy from the company and then retire. So for any woman to work is considered a temporary thing until she gets married, and because it is the end destination, they are generally expected to stop doing anything much after that. Of course, things may be slowly changing, like with Norio continuing to work as head of NoriPro, but Japan is generally slow to change in ordinary times.
